after reading some of your posts on the tiger rant, I'm not surprised by this statement at all. It has been clear that you have no clue about the big picture....very shallow minded...as usual. How's your boy TM doing these days?
I've been around here for a while and can say with confidence that you are top 3 worst LSU posters on this site. And you post, A LOT.
All I'm saying is that the SEC lovefest is no reason why you should have to root for a team that you dislike. The SEC being strong helps LSU, sure. But it doesn't mean I have to root for Alabama.
If you think a loss to Michigan would cause Alabama's program to skip a beat, therefore effecting the SEC, than you're an idiot.

Man it's close. I tend to lean slightly SEC but if bama loses I will laugh my arse off.
This is how I feel, except I lean towards wanting to see them lose. I think it's dumb to hate a program and 90% of it's fan base, but still be expected to root for them out of conference just because they're in the SEC.
But to each his own.

The one thing that would stop me from rooting against Bama is that if they do lose, then every a-hole talking head on ESPN and everywhere else will start in on the SEC and talk about how the Big Ten is back, blah, blah, blah. It would terrible and the only thing worse than having to listen to the gumps chirp

you really, really are stupid given that you think it has anything to do with alabama skipping a beat. wow....you REALLY have NO CLUE.
I don't know if you realize this or not sport, but I'd imagine there are several people in this thread that thinks what I've said is pretty smart....only a few kids in this thread can't see the big picture and think a michigan win couldn't impact LSU.
Just so you know....Michigan beats bama....goes undefeated....USC goes undefeated.......LSU goes undefeated....guess who gets left out.??? WEll, nevermind....I don'tknow if you could figure that one out.

This ESPN is pushing for anyone to topple the SEC. Alabama losing to Michigan would be adding feeding napalm to the fire

They would blow up michigan more than you can possibly imagine, and it would be worse than sucking off the gumps and saban......it would be worse, seriously...plus the fact if michigan is good enough to beat alabama...it is possible they go undefeated.....along with usc...and we get left out.......I want any potential threat that we don't play...to lose....period.

Why do all the Bama fans think they will be unstoppable on offense? Losing 4/4 of your top pass catchers and your best rb and your offensive coordinator?
Because Bama has the best O-Line in the country and none of WRs we lost will be missed. Bama will miss Smelley, as we are starting a walk-on at H-back. Bama's WRs are inexperienced but far more talented than the people they are replacing. While Bama still does not have a Julio, this is by far the fastest and most talented group of wideouts Bama has ever had.
Bama will no doubt miss Trent, but Lacy will be productive as will Yeldon, Fowler, and Hart. No Trent but collectively an impressive group.

Although I agree with your first part LSU would be the last to be left out because of strength of schedule.

you keep thinking that.....media LOVES them some USC and Michigan...they will do everything possible....and they are sick of the SEC......It is not going to happen...but IF Michigan beat bama...they will jump so high the first week, it is possible they would jump LSU the first week......also....although Michigan plays in big 10, I believe there are a handful of teams ranked fairly high in the big 10...michigan would have beaten them PLUS BAMA......and they are MICHIGAN....it is not far fetched.

Auburn got left out in 2004. It is unthinkable now. I think it depends on how each fared against the Tide. Lsu's worst argument is how it performed in the last BCSCG.

I would agree with you if the AP was still part of the BCS
Computers would have USC at like #5 or 6 with their pathetic schedule.

USC will likely be ahead of LSU after week 1 in the coaches poll......if both usc and lsu go undefeated this year.....usc will be ranked ahead of lsu....strength of schedule has changed from where it used to be....now they got those damn computer models which are sometimes ridiculous.......and you know the coaches and harris will go usc...that is 2/3 of the equation.

Why do I have to so-called "root" for either team? Yeah I want what's best for LSU, but I just want to see a good game. Not going to cheer on Bama or anything.

Why wouldn't they? The site is named secrant.com. This is not an LSU website anymore.

In your scenario, it is. LSU would have beaten Bama, Arkansas, and another ranked team from the east in the SEC championship. Not to mention the other SEC teams who would be considered "ranked fairly high" just like your Big 10 teams. (whoever that is)
Michigan would have beaten Bama (wash), Notre Dame (if that counts) and Ohio State.
LSU schedule > Michigan schedule
Media bias can only go so far.

Tell me again how it helps LSU if Bama comes in to your house with a 1-7 record?? Oh.I hope it goes down like last year, both teams undefeated, game of the century

Will not "pull" for bama, but if they have a good record when we beat them, all the better...
