Mine was a football tolerator when we met, by year 8 she is a DYE hard AU fan. I do hold her personally responsible for Auburn losing the 2013 BCSCG. That season she watched every game with me. The LSU game she was sleeping the first half. We were getting our asses handed to us. After halftime she started watching and AU started playing football. We lost but we played better. From then on she watched start to finish every game except the BCS. On that fateful night, she watched...we were kicking the balls in on FSU, and then she got sick and laid down close to the half. Not a minute later FSU ran the fake punt. Whole game momentum changed and we lost.

I havent either. Every girlfriend I had when I was single was not a football fan. My wife graduated from Bama in the late 90s. I asked her when we were dating "but didnt you go to games?" She said "yeah, I wanted to see what the other girls were wearing."

Mine couldn't care less about it, but is an awesome sport...makes the drive to tailgate and go to the games just about every game. She likes tailgating, but a few minutes after halftime she's asking how much longer it's gonna last lol

Yeah I should add she does go to games with me and likes tailgating. Its not that she hates it, she just doesnt get into it. I mean besides Tua I doubt she could name another Alabama player.

Passively. She'll watch the big games with me, but feigns interest the other weeks.

Pretty trashy on your part for what is supposed to be a fun thread. But hey, you be you. Still love my wife of 33 years. She has served by my side as an Army wife through thick and thin. Two deployments and over fourteen moves.

Stay classy.

My wife is from upstate New York. She really doesn't care about any sports. She is a "Yankees fan" because her dad is one; if you were to ask her about any of their players or the last time they won the World Series, she'd look at you like you were crazy.

That said, she respects that I enjoy it and tends to let me watch games in peace.

my wife is born and raised in bham to a family of gumps, so like many bama fans she doesnt' know who they're playing each week or know any players on teh team besides tua. she claims to be a big fan though and will watch on TV if she's not doing somethign else.

I kind of like it that way, because female sports fans tend to get realllllly intense during games.

This accurately describes my wife.

My GF hated sports when we met. Thought it was stupid that guys get so into it when they don't have a part of it.

2 years later. She has gone to five games now and watches UF games even if I'm not there and cheers like crazy(she is a student).

She let's me control the remote at night so she has watched a lot of football and hockey and seems to really enjoy both. Now I have to work on basketball. Going to the UF-FSU game this weekend hopefully the Rowdy's get her hyped.

Not really. She pretends to be super into it since Bama is good right now, and she has some interest in the Saints. But she can take it or leave it generally.

I'd wish for more interest form her if she was an LSU fan, but it works as is.

Very rarely will she sit and watch a game. The last few years I haven't wanted to either though.

Funky is good people, Wolf. Seems like just a play on a funny West Virginia stereotype.

He usually is. Not with that post when you are referring to someone’s spouse. Trashy.

Mine has zero interest in watching any sport (minus the occasional in-person game). But, it works out perfectly because she can go hang out with her mom while I go to a friend's and watch the games.

She has no interest in watching a game at all. Works out perfectly. She cooks / tends to kids / makes drinks while I watch the game

My husband will come in for glances or to ask what the score is/how the game is going, but he doesn't sit down and watch the whole game from start to finish.

Meanwhile, I'm glued to it with the intensity of a thousand suns and blow off anyone unaware enough to schedule social gatherings during football season.

Relax man, it was a harmless joke. You know how many times my s.o. has been referred to as my sister on here?! I'm sure your wife is an angel.
