My wife hasnt watched a Bama game since the 2017 national title game and only because we were at a party. She went to bed during the national title game last year (wish I would have followed her lead). She watches the Super Bowl for the commercials.

Not really.

I kind of like it that way, because female sports fans tend to get realllllly intense during games.

My wife thought she hated football when we met. Then Baseball season came. 4-5 games a week with basketball still happening in the beginning.

Our first date was to LSU / State in Death Valley. She wanted to leave at halftime.

This is true. Mine goes ape shite over the Saints.

ETA: It's a net plus though. Her family has season tickets and I can get shite faced during games if I want.

Football is an emotional sport. Just not a good mixture.

I've never even dated a football fan. I prefer women with different interest, it allows me my own space.

Depends on how you look at it. I view it as we can go to watch parties and I don't have to entertain her. She just watches the games.

Just to clarify. Bama doesn't play football games. They play some hybrid game where the refs ensure that their widdle feelings aren't hurt by a loss.

She'll catch parts of the occasional LSU game with me, but she never misses a Saints game.

My spouse enjoys it but isn't super intense about it. I'd call her a Saturday college football fan. I think she kinda hates basketball cause it takes up so many more days.

A while back I moved in with the girl I was dating, I was in my first year of divorce and my first football season was right around the corner. My Ex wife hated football so it was hard to watch and enjoy, the new girlfriend didn’t watch football so I didn’t think moving in would work. She said she would enjoy company coming over and I let her know that Saturday was my day, football and friends all day long and no bitching, she agreed.
It only took her till the second week to start complaining, I left the house that Saturday and went to parents house to watch football, and Monday while she was at work my brother and I moved my stuff out of her house.
Now my live in girlfriend/wife (just not official) loves football, loves hosting parties, and could care less that I watch games all day long. She is an angel though, she has been at my side day one when we found out about my cancer and has helped me fight to be in my third remission. Like I said she is my angel.

mine is totally indifferent...I'm cool with it.

Two maniacs in the same house watching LSU football would not be healthy for our kids.

I like to go to the Sports Bar and watch games, but I don't like to talk to anyone. I just sit there and watch the games while drinking lots of beer. My old lady always wants to go and just sit with me. She doesn't like football, she just wants to talk. It drives me crazy and she wonders why I don't want here there...

RB10. I totally get why common interest is often good for relationships and I'm not advocating my way to anybody.
For me personally I've gravitated to women outside of my football crowd though. It works for me, but I don't claim to be a relationship expert, or even a gifted amateur.

Mine does not. She loves baseball and will watch a little bit of the Grizzlies but not football.

She doesn't care that I do though.

Mrs 45 does not. If she did she would watch WVU (married a WV girl).

now ask:

"does your spouse or significant other trade spit with the entire team you are a fan of"
