Aggies just curious do you see politicians trying to force this game?

I see more and more articles wanting it.

It's stupid not to play a big rivalry game like this. It is what makes college football great.

Yes. We'll probably play eventually, but only when it is in both of our interests. It's not in our interest to play them right now, because doing so would partially help solve a major recruiting and scheduling problem they have in the current set up.

Alabama politicians tried to force the Iron Bowl back during the 40 year hiatus, but failed to do so. Turned out to be campaign promises, they really couldn't follow through on. They will play again when their ad's come together and make it happen, not before, and there is nothing anybody can do about it. At the end of the day, Texas legislatures will not pass a law forcing schools to play each other because that would piss off more people than it pleases.

You are framing the question wrong.

Three times, aggy politicians have filed bills to force the game to continue. The first two were laughed away, the third comes up when the legislature convenes this month, and will likely be laughed out of the statehouse.

So the question should be, "Does aggy have the political clout to force the game to continue?" Answer: No.

One or two overzealous grandstanders?
Maybe.
Would such legislation pass?
Heck no.

"Overzealous" aggy legislators have filed similar bills every session since the divorce (for you SEC hayseeds reading, the Texas Legislature meets every two years).

So like I said ... one or two legislators.
I appreciate the supporting data, Randy.
You’d make a solid research assistant.

Have there been any verified instances of teleportation. In all the movies and videos it seems to happen the same way. Where did this idea come from? My guess is Ancient Aliens

They would know the answer to the original question because wormholes and such.

I have an honest question for Au fans. Why do you guys give UGA such a hard time for not winning a natty since 1980 when it took AU over 50 years to get their second one?

This latest dimwit, Lyle Larson, is a member of the Texas State Legislature. He announced his bill in late November (after any election and danger of being voted out).

We only allow the Lege to meet every two years so they can do as little damage as possible.

The Aggies and sips will pay someday but not anytime soon unless they end up in a post season bowl.

The big question is why LSU people keep bringing it up? Aggies and sips are doing well without the game.
