They say it does. But what they actually do says it does not.

Someone posted a X screenshot that the committee actually had the rankings pretty close to what the BCS computers would have selected. So who’s right and who’s wrong? The committee is getting a lot of flack and I think it’s because their words don’t match what they are really trying to say. They talk out of both sides

Yeah Bama shouldn't be top 10 with a loss to FSU

FSU would be the 3rd toughest opponent on your schedule if you played them according to F+ and FEI.

SOS should matter and does for the conference, OOC SOS does not matter whatsoever is basically what the committee is telling us. Hence I hope Texas cancels their ND, Mich, and OSU games. F the committee and make them respect the OOC appropriately

We wouldn't have lost to them. We have one of the best OOC wins in the country. Not our fault the SEC schedule we got worked out in our favor.

You've barely managed to beat worse teams, so who knows. They are rated higher than Arkansas and South Carolina.

Texas A&M has avoided playing the top7 SEC teams completely this season. Although you will finally play the 6th best SEC team in a few weeks when you play Texas.

Let's see what you're made of when you play good teams.

You guys were beating your chest about Texas and Oklahoma and A&M joining the SEC yet now are whining that they aren’t the bottom feeders you predicted they’d be. Maybe your teams who LOVE to brag about your huge stadiums and huge fanbases should just nut up and DO SOMETHING other than whine about other conferences. I’m looking at Ole Miss, Florida, Auburn, Arkansas, South Carolina, Tennessee types. None of those teams have sniffed a SEC title game lately or decades. Stop whining and get your own house together before you whine about houses that have their stuff together. UGA is your only chance. The rest of your playoff teams are soft.

We don't really know how many losses Texas A&M would have if they played a better schedule.

You could be a great team, but it's hard to tell because of your schedule. You have the one win, but it could be a fluke.

We'll find out what you're made of in the upcoming weeks.

It is ridiculous. Go back to a two team playoff or mythical champion. It is more about the brand than the schedule. Notre Dame has it figured out.

Not the BCS computers. The predicted BCS poll which factors in the AP and Coach’s polls for the human element along with the computer formulas.

The BCS computer polls are pretty different compared to the committee rankings. Like OSU is ranked no.3 behind A&M and Indiana tied for 1st. Bama is 7. ND is 12. And a bunch more

My thoughts are that the Bammers sure do cry a lot when they don't get all the advantages.

Anywho, *2020

It matters when it comes to tie-breakers.

If there are multiple teams at 10-2 and a smaller number of spots, the better SOS will get in.

It only matters for different records if the SOS is DRASTICALLY different... more than an OOC game or two would impact. 10-2 will get in over 9-3 unless the overall difference in schedule is huge.

Alabama education at its finest. We have 10 wins. Can you count that high?

Many teams could have 10 wins on your schedule. All it takes is 1 win against a good team.

Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, Oklahoma.
