Does having a 'religious' coach help a program?

Ole Miss, Georgia, and Auburn have three of the more outspoken coaches about being religious. And those programs appear to be doing really well.
However, while the super religious front a coach portrays may appeal to the conservative portion of the a fan base. There are still quite a few people who are turned off by religion. It doesn't seem like it would really help in getting the maximum amount of people to like you for recruiting purposes.
So if religion doesn't maximize the life blood of your program. What's the point in bragging about being religious when your a coach?

Coaching is mentoring. Many see pastors in the same light, as mentors.
Coaches incorporate thier beliefs into thier coaching.
Christian coaches incorporate faith and thier belief system into thier work.

Do you have some alert that goes off for things like this. Religion can be where any one wants it to be unless you hate the constitution.

I hate when religion gets intertwined where it doesn't belong. and yes my radar went off. Actually just checking out the SEC rant before I head home. it's time bye bye

I think it doesn't make much of a difference outside of recruiting. Religious parents are probably more comfortable with religious coaches. Other than that, X's and O's, work ethic, etc., has nothing to do with a guy's religion.
