This question has been asked a bunch today but I’m not complaining. I will emphatically state once again there is no chance Alabama can lose at home to LSU, the only top 10 team we will play all season and still get a spot in the playoffs. All the “Bama didn’t even win their division” rhetoric would prevail this season.

I'm getting deja vu. Hasn't this happened before? What was the result?

It is what it is. Teams like OU, LSU, UGA, ND, and even tOSU won't get the same leniency

I suppose you could look at it that way. You could also look at it through the lens that a 9-6 loss to a top 5 team or even a 12 point loss on the road to a bitter rival ranked #10 isn't the same as a 30 point blowout to an unranked or even a teens ranked opponent. One of these things is not like the other although tOSU fans don't seem to understand this.

We’ll take 2.

Won’t have to though, bc Aubie coming in on cleanup duty.

LSU vs OSU for the natty

Not if there are four conference champs with one loss or fewer.

You're wrong. As much as I hate it, saban has earned the benefit of the doubt that he will have his team ready and they are one of the best 4 teams in the country.

If lsu somehow pulls out a win, bama wins out, they will get in.

I hate saying that, but goddamnit it's the truth.

Still think lsu will have to play it's best game to get a win. We are now playing against a streak and mindset.

It will be huge if we pull this out.

Ive accepted a long time ago that you have to beat Alabama twice in a season to truly beat them. I think we're up to it.

L8U hasn’t even pulled off one in the last 8 years and you think you are up to the challenge of doing it twice?

What if LSU won the game and lost the SEC championship game?
They would be 12-1 with a win over Bama. Would Bama get in over LSU? Or vice versa?

Not necessarily. One possible scenario that no one is talking about is if the east champion of UF or UGA has only one loss and beats the undefeated west champion (Bama or LSU) in the SECG. In this scenario, there would be 3 one loss SEC teams. I would assume that the SEC champion would be in by default, but who would the second team be to get in, the SECG looser or the Bama/LSU looser who sat out the championship game?

If UF beats LSU in Atlanta it would be interesting UF gets in as champ but both 1 loss to each other

You want playoff expansion??
Let 11-1 LSU/Bama non champ get in over a 1 loss OU champ & a 1 loss Oregon champ.

Cause that’s what y’all are saying... the CFP has cover in 2017 because tOSU and USC both had 2 losses. I don’t think a 1 loss non div/ non conf champ has any shot getting in over 1 1 loss P5 champ , much less 2.

They already are gonna have to the champion (Clemson) of the 6th best conference.

If Minnesota goes 12-0, loses a close CCG to either PSU or tOSU, they could be in the at-large discussion as they would have a respectable resume.

It’s still early but I love chaos. The fact Oklahoma was basically rewarded with KSU appearing in the top 25 helps as the Sooners are somehow in a good spot. But they are behind other one loss teams with better resumes.

I love chaos!!!

I think the loss by OU means LSU/Bama loser still has a great shot to get in.

If Bama and LSU flipped schedules and LSU finished year with only one loss to Bama, would LSU make the playoff?

I’d say No

I think a second 1 loss sec team whether it's LSU or Bama get in as long as the other beats Ga or Fl.
