I almost never leave early myself. I get 6-7 days a year to sit in my team's stadium, I'm fricking savoring it. Only thing that will make me leave early is weather conditions. Like Arkansas in 2010, fricking cold.

I have never left early, but people can do whatever they want. Has a player or coach ever commented on how they feel about it? I feel like there is a chance they feel disrespected, but I really don't know.

Also, if I leave early, I miss singing the alma mater with the team. I love that part.

Any religious fanatic who says you should stay until the very end every single game has no kids, no wife, no job and no life.

Hey, that rhymed.

I think it depends on the heat and opponent. If your up by 50 and it's 105 out in the mid afternoon I see nothing wrong with leaving

Schools deserve it for scheduling these shitty rent a wins.

Ours are infamous for doing so. Tailgating has become more intergrated with direct TVs and the all out food display that parties are doing now. I catch myself doing the same especially against the rent a wins.

By game time, I had finished off a whole bottle of vodka. I was jumping around and screaming at the beginning of the game. By halftime I was literally falling asleep.

Yeah I hear ya. I like to get drunk before football games and concerts, but I try not to get obliterated. I want to A) make it through the whole thing and B) remember the experience, lol.

^This

Yesterday was the first time that I ever left a game early. It was hotter than hell in the student section of The Swamp (saw a lot of freshmen and a few younger undergrads learn the hard way about alcohol, dehydration, and heat exhaustion), and I couldn't find it in me to endure just to watch Boom screw around with the run game against a team I could have given a damn about. I sort of felt bad about it later, but I feel like driving solo out to CS to watch the game next week earns me some points back.

Athletic departments can't expect to schedule nothing but cupcakes for every OOC game and keep everyone showing up with guilt trips about what it means to be a good fan. At some point people start figuring out their support is being taken advantage of.

Always looks absolutely miserable.

Last year I had to leave the Auburn game due to an awful hangover from the night before, but I've never actually "passed out" in the stadium.

I just realized that the Ags actually have come up with a great idea. We need to throw our cheerleaders in the fountain after the games too! Granted we have to build a fountain first, but I like the idea, just with a hetero twist.

I've only seen a significant early exit twice at A&M. One was a game against Fresno State where it was a billion degrees and students were collapsing from the heat, and the game went to 4 OTs.

The other game was in 2005 against Iowa State, were we had a bad mismatch at corner against this tall receiver and he was obliterating us.

Besdies that, even in games where things are going poorly, Aggies usually stay.

Every team has fans leave early. At A&M it happens, but were pretty good about keep the stadium relatively full when we suck and when games are blowouts (either way).

Did you see the Utah State game last year? It was turrible.

My seats are in the letterman section. Even it emptied out.

People have the freedom to do what they want, but I just don't get it. If I'm going to the game, then I'm staying...I could care less about traffic.

12th man can't leave early. You never know when you may be called out of the stands to suit up.

BTW the only school in the state of Texas that leaves early is the one in austin. In the 80's you needed traffic control at half time in the parking lot.

This year when TCU, Baylor, Kansas, OSU and WVA put a beating on them, they'll be gone by the first quarter.

Actually it's not part of LSU culture.

It happens everywhere.

To be fair, all 5k baylor fans really don't count as "showing up."

Well to be completely honest most LSU fans leave games early just to get out of BRvtraffic..probably the worst in the SEC

After we annihilated Virginia Tech in 07 I sat in traffic for 3 hours before I got out of Baton Rouge
