FWIW saw highlights Of Arizona-Toledo. The game went into OT but the Stadium was empty. Some people leave early no matter how close the game

I left yesterday. My buzz was wearing off and I wanted more booze. Plus it was over 90 and I forgot sunscreen.

By game time, I had finished off a whole bottle of vodka. I was jumping around and screaming at the beginning of the game. By halftime I was literally falling asleep.

This describes 1/2 of our fanbase.

LSU fans leave in droves at half-time for poor non-con games. Have been for a long time now. Hell, for big-time SEC games, 1/4 of the fans leave at the end of the 3rd quarter in a hotly contested game still in major doubt.

I do not leave big games early. I think I am still in drinking mode from day games. I was toast by 2pm. I need to re learn how to pace myself for night games.

It is an embarrassing problem at Mizzou, particularly amongst our students.

ETA: Not that I didn't contribute to that problem...

I dont go to as many games as I used to, but typically we stay the whole game. If AU is destroying somebody and theres a reason to leave, we might leave with 5 minutes to go or something, but I have never left before that in 30+ years of going to games.

We have NEVER left due to a loss, even when we got destroyed.

The crowd definitely thins in the second half of games where we are winning by 50 over some directional school, but I don't really think that's a huge problem. I paid the money for the ticket supporting the institution, and went to the game supporting my team.

It was a helluva lot cooler in the stadium than the line getting in

I've never left a game early. It happens some but it's pretty rare at Kyle. Ags take pride in staying the whole game.

After wins the Yell leaders are tackled by the freshman in the corps and carried to fish pond (a large fountain) and thrown in. Many Ags stay to watch this and then have a short yell practice.

After losses, there is an immediate yell practice so we can yell our team to victory next time

For every two drinks, down a bottled water. It took me a long time to learn this.

Me either. We were in chair back seats. I got comfortable and I kept dozing off. It was a very long day.

Good idea

I really didn't realize how much I drank until I fixed my last drink. I was like, oh shite I drank this whole bottle of vodka. I think I would have been fine if I had gotten more sleep the night before. I had to work at 6am Friday morning, so I went 2 nights in a row with maybe 2-4 hours of sleep. I slept 14 hours last night.

Ole Miss has redefined this, especially in recent games.

I have visited dozens of college stadiums and can safely say that the two fan bases that consistently leave early are lsu and texas. I try and hit one lsu game a year and scratch my head. At one lsu auburn game half the row behind me left at halftime and I think lsu was losing.

I do think it has something to do with traffic. College station has no interstate and can still empty 80,000 smoothly with mimnimal traffic because the campus is so large and there are many exit points.
