It can still get very ugly, but it won't be Kiffin's fault if it does. I'm confident that he will do all he can to put the best available players on the field. The fans just have to remember that some of these guys are being thrust into the spotlight when they might not yet be ready for prime time.

We're getting to the point that it's going to factor in the outcome of games I was hoping for 10-2 or better this season, but at this rate, a 9-3 finish would be a win. I can't ever recall this many season-ending injuries this early. You just can't expect to beat top teams when you don't have your best players available. I guess the silver lining is that the back ups will get some valuable real-time snaps. That will be a big plus going into next season.

Dixon McMakin got the stadium announcer job because of connections. It's tough to follow a legend like Dan Borne, but McMakin is hot garbage. He can't even follow the script.

The LED light show is beyond pathetic compared to those of other schools. You'd have thought they would've figured it out by now. The purple lights are bad arse, but the gold lights just wash everything out. Even Ole Miss and Moo State have better light shows than we do. I heard that LSU gave MMR the job because of a kick back. Knowing how things work in Louisiana, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if that's true.

It's a good thing you didn't go to the Ole Miss game in Oxford. They think they've built the best home field advantage in college football, but it's more like going to a rave than a football game because of all of the loud music and flashing lights.

I don't know if this is still the case, but in 2005 and 2007 my daughters each spent 1 year in Tiger Band. Back then, the full band made one road trip per year, and for that game, they performed at half time, just as A&M did tonight. It was a bus trip where the band members left early on the day of the game and returned home afterwards, usually getting back in the wee hours on Sunday.

For all other road games, a "pep band" of 90 or so students traveled to those sites and stayed in the stands for the duration of the game.

This is still the case. LSU sent the full Tiger Band to A&M last year I believe. The full band trip is usually either Ole Miss, Auburn or Moo State. They've been to Florida before and Vandy once or twice too. They were supposed to travel to Auburn this year, but Auburn denied the request to march, so we are not having a full band trip this season, only pep bands.

I was told by a coworker who has a kid at UT that Texas wants to bring their full band to Baton Rouge. Their band is huge, over 400 members, so I don't know if it will happen.

Agree. It will be tough to make it through with only one more loss.

We can beat anybody left on our schedule, but the reality is that when we're not at 100%, and we won't be for a good while, we can also be beaten by any of the SEC teams we have yet to play.
