Berzon needs to sit, she cannot be relied upon.
I agree. If given the chance, she will choke away the lead 9/10 times. Such a shame and a terrible way to lose the series.

How is this legal? If the SEC won't allow it during a football game, how can they do it during a softball game?

I think the truth is that this team just isn't as good as we originally thought.

3 questions
Will Berzon be "hurt" again for the rest of the weekend?
Will the Freshman throw strikes tomorrow?
Will Beth be able to luck out one win in the remaining regular schedule?
Berzon tightens up when the game gets close and chokes. Heavener shows promise, but she's currently a free pass machine. Beth doesn't seem to know how to manage her pitchers, which is a real head scratcher considering she was a pitcher herself when at Florida. The wheels are coming off and I'm not sure there's a quick and easy fix.

Mid-season report card: B+
I don't see how you can rate them any higher than a C. The hitting has improved, but the pitching has struggled more as the season goes on. We could very well get swept in our next two series. It's pretty much same song, different verse. Start out really strong then fizzle out down the stretch. That's been the MO for Beth's teams over the past several years.

Is this the kid that they put the one picture of him dressed nicely in a suit as the fundraiser photo, when every social media pic of him is a photo of him holding pistols and rifles and throwing up gang signs while dressed like a ghetto kang?
Didn't the media do the same thing with Trayvon Martin?

Except now they are 100% going to care about race.
That's my concern. They will find a way to interject race into the story line.

Fictional book characters race literally doesn’t matter to me at all unless race was a character trait that mattered
Race was completely inconsequential in the harry potter universe
In the Harry Potter books, Severus Snape is described as a thin man with sallow skin, a hooked nose, and greasy, shoulder-length black hair.
Kinda sounds like a pale white dude to me. It's tough for a dark-complected person to be described as having sallow skin.
Hermione being black is expected, as she's been played by a black actress ever since the stage show began.

The pitchers have regressed, they scored enough runs to win 2 games. The hitting is 2nd in the SEC overall and 3rd in conference…need a pitching coach
When we had great pitching with Hoover and Walljasper, we couldn't get the hits when we needed them. How that we're hitting the ball better, pitching has fallen off a cliff. Beth's specialty is supposed to be pitching. I don't see her going out and bringing in another coach to handle that.

I have been told by “friends” in that business that allegedly know say the same thing. LSU should be a top 4-5 team every yr with the facilities, resources and brand!!!
She's had great recruiting classes before. The problem is that the kids seem to regress once they get to LSU. It truly is the game crap every single year without fail, at least for the past eight seasons. I don't care how much her players love her or how good of a mother she is. Her teams don't get the job done, even when they are loaded with talent. That's a coaching problem.

Next two series is vs Texas and Florida
Tough stretch coming up
Last season we won only 2 of our 8 SEC series. So far we are 3-3, with a very real possibility of dropping the final 2 series. Is our RPI still good enough for us to host a regional, or do we face the possibility of going on the road if we drop both the Texas and UF series, and exit early from the SEC tournament?

Semi hot take .. I wish we would’ve gotten more Angeline Jolie tomb raider movies
Those were fun and she was smoking hot wearing the gray bodysuit
I don't think the version with Alicia Vikander was all that bad, but it didn't do well at the box office. There's apparently a Netflix animated Tomb Raider series where Lara is gay. I guess they couldn't have a strong, intelligent female hero without making her gay, black, or a girl boss.

These two men stand out above the others. They both portrayed Jesus in a very similar manner. If I had to pick one of them, I'f give the slight edge to Powell.

Some great performances in that. I thought Sally Field was particularly great.
The accents were all wrong, but the performances were all first rate. They definitely got the “feel” of what it’s like to live in a small town in the south. A lot of us knew a Ouiser or a Clairee growing up. I’ve seen the stage play and I liked the movie so much more, because you got to see characters like Drum, Jackson, and Janice Van Meter who are only referenced in the play but never shown.

good villain
Mother Gothel was hands down Disney's best villain in decades. There was more dimension put into her character than most baddies. The best villains are those who have a method to their madness, and maybe even a tiny bit of redeemability to their character. Despite the fact that she used Rapunzel's magic to keep herself young, I always got the impression that Gothel did grow to care about her adopted daughter at least in some small way. It was kind of a Munchausen Syndrome type of situation, but rather than physically harming Rapunzel, she gaslighted her into believing that staying in the tower was for her own good, as the outside world was a very dangerous place.
