School frequently retains ownership of the house.

I’ve seen that house before, can’t place where though.

I wouldn’t have minded the commission on the sale for it.

So let me see if I have you right JetDawg-

In UGA's worst decade, in the worst season of that decade, in the worst game of that season, the stadium was still at 77% capacity.

Do I have that right? Or am I missing something?

I don’t remember a OU ever having any game at 77 percent capacity even In the worst of times it was over 90 percent … OU has the 2nd longest sellout streak. Nebraska had to buy tickets with the help of donors to keep their streak alive …..40 plus years of sellouts . Comparing OU to USC school fan attendance is like comparing Bama football to Toledo …. That’s how bad their attendance is .

There's a difference between capacity % and tickets sold %. Jetdawg I'm sure was posting actual turnout, not tickets sold %. In the 90's I assure you it was 100% sellout. Whether or not they all showed up on a hot September afternoon to watch us play Kent State is another matter.

Los Angeles, amazingly, still has the "glitz and glamour", although those too young to remember when it glittered so much it would've blinded you

That glitter is just the Sun reflecting off all the trash in that landfill called L.A..Last time I drove through it on the Freeway, it seemed like driving through a landfill...Trash everywhere along the freeway. It's like everything else the DEMs get control of and turn to complete shite.

There were for sure a few 1990s games in Norman with around 10k empty seats when the capacity was 75k. I have no idea about tickets sold, but yes, triple-digit temps against shite teams didn't pack the house back then.

USC attendance is way worse than any of the other schools listed when they're not winning...in a city of 13+ million.

Clay Helton's later years 2017-2021 were among the worst in USC history. Attendance fell into the 40k-50k a few times, mostly in the 70k range, but still well below the capacity of 93,607 (which is down from over 101,000 before which we sold out all the time back then). But, it's picking up again as USC Ticket Office states things are hot.

In Texas and most other places in the SEC, there isn't anything else to do but go to a football game. Not so out here. Tourist attractions are a dime a dozen here vying for the attention of over 18.5 million people in Greater Los Angeles. If we don't do well, the seats won't be filled. Same as with y'all.

That’s simply not true. I was at the USC-Utah game last year. There was maybe 30K. Maybe. The fans of the teams in the south don’t just pack it in when things are bad. USC fans just have way more options. When they are bad, they are as loyal as a whore at a celebrity’s mansion. When USC is good their fans fill out the stadium.

Also USC is a legit blue blood program that has a history of winning. I know you remember Bama before Saban arrived and turned things around. Not sure why you think USC couldn't do the same thing with the right coach.

There’s no fan support or booster support for football. That state has changed completely since 2004 when USC was good. There will never be a bama revival at USC. He’s already getting a bad rep with recruits for promising NIL deals they can’t possibly match. He went from a school that recruits top 10 every year and top 5 now, to a school that will be lucky to pull top 15 classes even with cali talent.
