No...the UK game is clearly the best matchup on paper for week 1, and yeah, when the hell else could I ever make such a statement and people actually say you know what, he isnt wrong haha

Every LSU fan I know always hopes that LSU never gets a CBS game unless it is an evening kickoff. 5pm kickoff on Nov 14 is OK.

I don't know why anyone would want their game on CBS. But yeah, UK-Auburn would have been a better choice.

This. But no crime in showing DBU vs Leach.

Given all the question marks LSU has right now, defending national champs, and Mike Leach’s debut, I think it’s the best decision strictly from a ratings standpoint.

We are the cream of the crop right now, of course they chose LSU

LSU is the defending SEC and National champion. It's also Mile Leach's 1st SEC game ever. I can understand why CBS would want the game.

and Mike Leach’s debut,

How is Leach starting a question mark for LSU? Based on his typical team it is a net plus for LSU.

Yes.
Mike Leach gets eyes on the TV and LSU fans out of the stands.

While I think Auburn-UK has the chance to be the most competitive game of the day, I understand why they chose LSU-State. It’s a tad sexier to the national audience.
