That's a good collection. And this:

answers the question of why Roland Martin is perpetually grumpy! I can't imagine having 6 girls.

I bought a college ring at my father's insistence. I don't think I have ever worn it. I'm kind of glad I have it, though.

basically shite on all the other people in the room to help the other Aggie out.

Not at all how it works. I currently have two longhorn employees and have a ton of respect for their school from an academic standpoint.

I do open doors for former students, but I also tend to hold them to a higher standard. Two aggies come to mind that let me down... they no longer work for me.

Why would a guy who took like 9 credit hours (jff) get a ring?

You don't know how many hours Johnny completed.
Rings are ordered with junior hours.
Johnny would have had to have the requisite hours to order his ring.

The only time that doesn't happen is when a family orders a ring posthumously.

I didn't buy one, but UF's are kind of cool. My grandmother gave me my grandfather's when he passed earlier this year.

On. Sounds sadder doing it like junior ring ceremony in hs if that was possible.

Very likely? They don't make exceptions that I've ever heard of. He had to reach the required hours to order a ring.

No on the class ring. I think it is a Texas thing and most of the schools out here do it. I know a kid who goes to A&M Galveston(the Sea Aggies) and he is begging his parents to get him an A&M ring. I guess they're all just brainwashed into begging their parents to buy a class ring when they first attend? I would rather have a Rolex....

Sea Aggies are Aggies by the way. It's not a satellite school, A&M Galveston is actually part of Texas A&M College Station. A&M Qatar is also in the same position. Both are eligible for rings and their diplomas will just say Texas A&M University.
