Well here's the thing...when the SEC, NFL, etc... does go into negotiations for their next contracts these lower ratings are going to hurt their bargaining power. Because of that I'd think they have a right to get involved in some way.

as long as Disney makes the payments, they are substantively in compliance with the contracts.

Oh, now we have to pay what is obligated in a contract... interesting.

I hear ya...yeah I knew the mouse owned them both. It's pretty obvious none of them give a shite about our wallets, or customer service, so I will probably focus on content per your post.

Fck all of them.....it's getting ridiculous.

Disney's blackout is actively harming the value of the SEC and every SEC member athletic program every week that our games arent available

That's actually a very interesting point.

We all love SEC football, but I love American football in general.

I've watched my fair share of Nevada vs New Mexico.

And, no joke, that Indiana vs Penn State game was one of the more exciting games I've seen in quite a while.

For those who keep intimating this, what are you using?

Is this a packaged provider like IPTV?

How are you paying without it tracing back to you?

(Vague answers are fine if you don't want to give specifics.)

Situationally of course.

I, of course, am paying everything I promised Brian Kelly I would.

Am I really high, or do I distinctly remember that a major selling point of cable was that it didn't have ads on a lot of the channels?

We've really passed that era up, huh?

Now our refrigerators are showing ads.

Not sure about cable, but this was certainly the case with streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. Those rat ba$turds got us paying anywhere from $30 to $100 per month for ad free service for a couple of years...then they snuck a few in at the beginning or the end of the program...then it was perhaps one in the middle...now it's no different than watching TBS.

The marketing creep on those platforms is infuriating.

I purchased a Tablo receiver with 4 tuners using at Best Buy. Any OTA recordings can be shared over the WiFi network. I have a $29 digital antenna from Walmart to receive more than 50 local channels.

You can use Sunday Ticket with just YouTube...you don't need YTTV. I have it like that. And if it isn't showing the ESPN games it doesn't seem to be meeting your needs. As long as you stick around, they'll keep playing games.

This my approach and I buy the $30/mo ESPN subscription for Sept -Jan.
