Questioning NFL Franchise Management is a fools errand...it'd be hard to find a better business model than the NFL in any industry. That said it beats all I ever saw that the NFL doesn't have some sort of "and 1" type situation for teams, say the Titans in this case, to have another spot on the roster for a local favorite who is never going to play much if any at all in the NFL to bolster interest in the fanbase. There are a handful or players like Pavia every year who wouldn't get killed in practice that local fans would love to see in their teams colors for a few seasons.

The Falcons are a good example....not that they need any help selling tickets but they could not be any worse if they simply took UGA and GT and Ga Southern players who aren't drafted, pay them the minimum and the local fans would be just as excited about that team as the losers they pay millions to. It ain't like the Falcons are a real NFL team anyway...hope springs eternal and all but they have been in Atlanta exactly as long as I have and in that time they have gotten about as close to winning a superbowl as me in all but 2 seasons.

He's going to be holding a clip board on the sidelines in Calgary.

Or an iPad at the Chick Fil A drive thru.

Seems they had a change of heart

quote:

The Baltimore Ravens signed undrafted Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia on Tuesday, three days before he was scheduled to try out for the team at its rookie minicamp this weekend.

Baltimore reached an agreement with Pavia after signing undrafted Connecticut quarterback Joe Fagnano. The Ravens, who had the extra roster spots, wanted both to be on equal footing at the rookie minicamp.

Average guarantee for UDFAs in 2024 was a bit north of 60k and usually get no signing bonus. I feel like we hire people at our accounting firm for more than that.

He measured like 5'10 1/8 at the Combine, same as Kyler Murray.

Started out as a great story, then self-own attitude ruined everything.

I really wanted to like the guy but just could not after all those antics.

Some of y'all are far too butthurt over a guy who really isn't any douchier than a lot of current NFL players.

Pavia beat my team, and that sucked, but the people saying he'll soon be broke, or homeless, or in prison are just crazy.

He doesn't have a degree from Vanderbilt? Hell, he's been in college long enough to have a PhD.

What???

Taysom Hill is like 6'3, 230, built like a comic book superhero, and ran a 4.4. As a Saint, they used him as a fullback and tight end, as well as QB.

You think Pavia can do this?

Pretty cruel to invite him to the rookie minicamp. Why couldn't they just invite him to the rookie regular camp?

I get that he’s a douche, but it’s kinda weird watching everyone circle jerk over another man’s potential failure.
