No...I chose public service after a year of college. It just wasn't for me. I've been a UGA fan since I was 10 years old. I'm 51 now, so over 40 years of fandom.

Those are the absolute worst kind of people. Who in the hell doesn't cheer for the school they went to?

Yes and no....

I went to Mizzou, I cheeer for Mizzou, but I also cheer for any team playing kansas (except if its Texas or Nebraska, in which case I hope they both lose). So, that being the case, yes and no.

No. I went to La Tech for engineering. I wore LSU gear to class sometimes though. The tech fans HATED that. I always said I’ve been a LSU fan since I could walk, why the hell would I not be now? But that fan base is seriously ate up with the butthurt jealousy.

No, Louisiana education sucks. All my family went to LSU, and I’ve been going to games since I was 5. Don’t think the school cares about if I’m a “T shirt” fan or not when I pay $200 to go to games

Go on UAB or South's campus and you see mostly Bama and AU stuff.

There are literally tens of thousands of people here in the great state of Louisiana who went to Tulane and cheer for LSU even if they play Tulane. It's this weird psychology where they cant get over not being a fan of a winning football team or watching their friends celebrate LSU victories.

A&M class of '89. Dad is class of '49, so I was raised an A&M fan. Looked at other schools (Rice, mostly), but decided on A&M based more on fit. Back then, the student body skewed more towards rural kids. Not sure how I would have felt if I'd gone elsewhere, but I'm sure it would have changed things a lot. For one, being on campus made me a huge baseball fan--wouldn't have had that experience as a "t-shirt" fan (no disrespect intended).

That's another interesting phenomenon you sometimes see--folks who cheer for a school in one sport, but not others.

How the frick does this happen. I hate both Auburn and Alabama but I respect the hate they have for each other. For a dude to go to Auburn and pull for Bama is mind blowing. He must be a spineless douche.

Both parents went to LSU. I went to LSU. My sister went to LSU. We all pull for LSU.
