Did this on the Scoreboard, but I'll repeat myself here: Congratulations, Aggies...

What an epic game. There were so many game-winning plays from both sides. Just really heroic performances throughout. Devin White refusing to lose. LSU coming back from three killer special teams penalties killing field position, ruining momentum and giving the Aggies 7 points.

Huge defensive stands. Huge turnovers. Huge TD's. The D showed up in regulation. Felt they had it won several times.

Not sure what more anyone can say about Joe Burrow. He ain't an All-American but he's one bad@ss motherfu#cker. I will let him QB my team anyday. Just did everything he could to win.

TAMU did really well running the ball and stopping the run to an extent. Burrow became an X-Factor, but until late and OT, the run game for LSU from a conventional perspective was non-existent.

If I'm being honest, coaching lost this game for us. The final offensive possession of regulation for LSU after a heroic turnover on downs by the D was an embarrassment for those kids. Three really weak run calls to force the D to pull it out again was gutless from our offensive staff IMO.

Fisher has cured TAMU's physicality issues, and that was always an X-Factor for LSU over the Aggies since 2011 really. If he can maintain that they'll find consistent success in the West and against LSU.

Not going to touch the officiating or what happened after the game. No sense in it and it doesn't matter as the outcome is what it is. You beat us on the field. Pure & simple.

Congrats again, Aggies. You helped us ensure we'll keep your trip to Baton Rouge circled for next year. I hope all of the kids stay healthy (the one part of the OT system in CFB I dislike) and are able to participate at full strength going into Bowl Season.

Right back atcha. Fantastic game. Nothing like an all-time classic game to give this series the enthusiasm it deserves.

I didn't have a problem with the offensive play calls on that possession. You force A&M to use their timeouts and run off as much clock as you can. A&M gets the ball with 1:30 and has to go almost 80 yards with no timeouts.

The issue I have with the coaching was in the 4th overtime. A&M kicked a field goal in the first possession and LSU hit Moreau for 15+ yards on the first play. I wanted LSU to take 3 shots at the endzone and bet that your receivers will win 1 of 3 of the plays. Then the game is over, and if you came up just short of the endzone on one you still get a first down.

There was on play where Devin White showed why he is going to be a very wealthy kid soon.

He caught Mond from behind and it was like he was using a cheat code he was so fast. Yeah, he was generally a lot of trouble for us during the game but that one play really just highlighted how much better he is than the rest of the people he's on the field with.

Believe it or not, not all of us are retarded.

It was a great and frustrating game. We had th opportunity to win running away and squandered it. Good win for the TAMU program. I expect next year to be another show.

Burrow is a gutsy kid, he got hit hard a couple of times and landed in some awkward positions a few times and he popped right back up ready to go, props to him. White is going to be very wealthy soon, dude is as good as any I've seen. Greedy is a beast as well. Good game all around.

Gotta call bullsh!t on that one. You PLAY to win the game. You don't PLAY to turn it over to your defense. You go win the game when you have the opportunity to win it. Your defense already did their job. Your offense's job is to run out the clock there. They had timeouts which means you MUST get the 1st down there.

Just my opinion. That's weak, conservative football. We've had enough of that. When you play not to lose, you're really not playing to win.

Went to LaTech for two summer quarters immediately after HS. Finished up there as the entire decision was to be able to transfer to LSU with 18 hours as a 1st semester Freshman.

OK, and what I posted is my opinion. Don't know why my opinion is bullshite, but ok.

Yes and LSU was winning the game. I don't have any problem with running the ball 3 times. Forcing A&M to use all of their timeouts and running off time on 3rd down.

Is it really necessary to call timeout with 1 second on the playclock before punting. Take the 5 yard penalty and eat 1 more second off the clock. If there was ever a game where that1 second made the difference this was it.

I call BS on it because that's a losing philosophy we've seen time and again. We saw it with Miles over and over, and we saw it last year with Orgeron vs Notre Dame in the Bowl Game.

We saw the reverse of that philosophy help us destroy Georgia in the middle of the year. I'm not sure how much more convincing anyone needs to understand that LSU needs to be as aggressive as possible.

We have a passive mindset on offense. We go max protect and completely ignore/can't execute screens well. Passive.

We pull receivers out of routes when we do this, making it more difficult to get open against + numbers in the Secondary when we do pass. Passive.

We completely ignore the quick pass/slant/3-step/5-step game when we get pressure. Which would totally negate the pressure. Passive.

We don't get aggressive. We recede into a shell and get conservative.

That is not winning football. We've had a guy-a former Tiger legend in Matt Flynn-who went around the NFL and played under Saban, Fisher, Mike McCarthy, Pete Carroll and others and who played a majority of his career backing up Aaron Rodgers-try to tell folk this as recently as this year.

Max Protect is Max Conservative. You can do so many more things to slow down a pass rush rather than using 7-8 to block using the same slow-developing deep drop pass play calls.

It's an obvious tendency of Ensminger's and its one that has not been fixed. He saw pressure from the edges due to poor tackle play all year and never, ever adjusted his scheme to account for it. We got sacked 5 times midway through the 3rd quarter Saturday.

Just fed up with passivity. I want a team to win on offense. I am tired of seeing us constantly turn it over to our D to try and hang on for dear life.

The game was tied in this case, and they were on the 1 yard line. Comparing the bowl game to The A&M game is not a good comparison.

I agree they should of gone for the TD. partly because of the same reason I say run the ball against A&M to run out the clock. If you don't get a TD Notre Dame has to go start inside the 5. However, they would of only needed a FG to win if you aren't successful.

Its a balance of risk

That is a different situation as well.

I'm sure Flynn will weight in on this on radio this week. So we will see what he thinks about this situation.

Congratulations Aggies! Y'all earned that victory. I was proud of my Tigers for their tenacity and fight but y'all made the plays when the chips were on the table.

Y'all got a great stadium and college football atmosphere and Jimbo has done wonders with the program in only the first year.

Thanks for the post, OP.

I'm just glad we're finally doing our part to make this game a true rivalry and not just a manufactured one.
