Yet Bert still underachieved. The 2015 season was a huge downer with the talent Arkansas had on that team.

He's already caused his new high school to lose their first home game since 2010 in his 2nd game at Allen,TX. There has never been anything on his resume at all that says he can inspire anyone.

Because when Arkansas fired AD Jeff Long, they had a search committee full of former Razorbacks from different sports. They were involved in the hiring process and current AD Hunter Yuracheck was hired a few days after Chad.

In all honesty perhaps y'all should feel the same regarding Morris... PittBoss seems like not just a good coach, but a decent man. I doubt he'll be someone who causes any embarrassment to U of A.

I don't think he did. I believe he is just an inept head coach. I wouldn't go so far as to say Morris is smarter Pittman, either. Pittman seems to be intelligent enough to know how to get the most out of his players and how to go about getting fresh talent that can make an impact immediately. Chad doesn't seem to have any of that.

Only the REC has the level of power and influence to successfully send an agent to selectively manipulate a program at the highest level.
True, A&M has a cult and thousands of mind-bots lemmings … but they do not have the ability to dictate outcomes at the top. I can see no reason the REC would have been involved in this… (though they could be playing a very deep, long term game). So…
Conclusion: he was individually incompetent, and those who hired him were not agents, just dumb azz es.

I guess as an AU fan, the one bright spot in the whole post-2017 Gustav saga is that, if Arky had pulled the trigger and outbid us for his services, Jimmy fricking Sexton would have convinced our braindead braintrust to hire Chadwick instead

Anyone who is interested go and watch the first speech Chode gave the team when he was hired. He literally told them they weren't good enough and the only way they were getting better was to recruit.
Then he told them he was about to hire the best DC in the country. It ended up being John fricking Chavis

You have to dig deeper, it was really Jeff Long that destroyed the program, Chad Morris was just a product of that. Jeff Long is easily the worst AD Arkansas ever had and probably the worst all time in the SEC.. kind of hard to tell on that one because I don't know the ADs very well.
Basically Jeff Long had the philosophy that winning wasn't important (stated that himself) and that it was more important for the kids to go to class and get good grade. Hey, I'm all for the kids being student athletes but in the SEC.. that doesn't cut it.
This is what killed Bert in the end.. he started strong but then was given the false impression that he was doing a good job by getting the kids to class. He kept losing and Jeff Long wouldn't fire him.. so well we fired Jeff Long and then Bert was fired directly after.
Anyway a book could be written on this but basically the AD was a piece of shite, all of our sports have suffered because of it. We have a new AD now and he has made some fantastic hires and we are getting back to being competitive in all sports.

Don’t get too hyped up about beating TexASS , even Kansas beats Texas about every third year"..... I thought Arky struggled a bit with Rice.....
We may find out that TexASS ends up dead last in the Big 12 even losing to Kansas, again.....
