guy goes from 4.9 million a year to 10+(according to reports) but isn't chasing the money. Yes Wash was going to pay him more, but every report says they couldn't match Bama.

The easy move was leverage this into a 10 mil contract like Lanning, Norvell, and Sark. DeBoer had the guts to actually take on this challenge. He has my support.

Eh he was losing Penix and moving to the B10. Seems eerily similar to the Harsin situation.

Boise didn't even want Harsin. The GOAT program wants DeBoer, and so does Washington.

DeBoer left because his roster was loaded with seniors and grad students. 2024 was going to be a massive drop off for Washington.
Coach DeBoer walked away from a 9.5 million Washington offer to come to Alabama, so....

With homerun hires, you don’t make post like this

Who was a home run outside of Kirby Smart? We could have hired Dabo and his two titles and you guys would say its not enough. If we hired Lanning you would remind us he lost to DeBoer twice and claim DeBoer turned us down.

The gump constitutions have grown weak from the Saban era. Y’all already got this one talking about Harsin.

I honestly don't know much about Deboer beyond what I learned prior to our playoff game, and I simply learned he's a dang good coach.

As for the Harsin comparison, I don't get that at all. Remember, we have experience with Harsin during the last few years of Mack Brown. Dude is a Mormon, and beyond that just an odd duck. DeBoer doesn't give me those vibes at all.

You would be laughing had Auburn made this hire. Doing the exact same of what you’re calling out! You know this.

No one feared or thought “oh shite” after hearing about this hire.

Per Pete Thamel, the Washington offer was only $8.4 mil.

I bet his contract at Alabama will be more like $10 mil.

I don't blame him. Strike while you're a hot commodity.

Look no further than Brady and Denbrock from LSU.
