DeBoer didn’t leave for money or desperation

Washington offered to pay close to whatever Alabama is offering to stay at a much less demanding job with better job security. Instead the guy has the guts to follow Saban in the grind of SEC schedules and recruiting. He clearly believes in himself and is aware of the challenge he is walking into.
Thats the difference between him and Harsin. Harsin chased a paycheck with no idea or care about what he had actually signed up for.

I mean that's cool he's not Harsin, but Alabama boosters and PTB aren't going to compare him to Harsin.
They are going to compare him to Saban.
They are going to compare him to Saban.

With them going to the Big 10 I don’t think it would be less pressure

guy goes from 4.9 million a year to 10+(according to reports) but isn't chasing the money.
Yes Wash was going to pay him more, but every report says they couldn't match Bama.

You have no idea what UW was willing to pay him. Nor do you know what either man's motivations to move were/are.

DeBoer left because his roster was loaded with seniors and grad students. 2024 was going to be a massive drop off for Washington.

Thanks for clarifying this for us.
