Remember when the LSU fanbase was holier than thou about Charles Bediako leaving the G-league for Bama. He was a threat to the sanctity of college athletics.
But I digress, the juice isn't worth the squeeze on a tight end that can't make an NFL 53 man roster. LSU is racing into the lead for public enemy #1. The national media is going to be relentless with the first loss (likely @ Ole Miss), and the house of cards will come crashing down with the second (A week later vs A&M). It will take Kiffin's best coaching job of his career to keep the ship straight when it happens. The emotional intelligence of the fanbase in general is on par with with a rabid coyote. Kiffin doesn't have the personality to not chirp back at the native detractors which will only infuriate them more. If you push all your chips to the middle and don't win the hand, they will turn on the program. The honeymoon will be over before October, and he exhausted every greasy resource to welcome Mcneese State to town clinging to a top 25 spot with a 2-2 record.
On paper it's a match made in heaven. Good offensive coach in a state that grows skill players on trees, and an administration with the moral fiber of an african warlord willing to go into debt to fund the payroll. In practice, Kiffin and the fanbase are not going to be compatible. It will be quite the spectacle.

Just a PSA.
And don’t think for a second that now that LSU has popped this cherry others won’t be following suit to plug holes in their roster.
Carry on.
PSA....as an LSU fan you dont just have to be a pussy your whole life and accept whatever LK tells you to accept.
im sorry but this is a BS move by LK and company and I hope LSU admin stop it. I say that as an alum and insane fan of the school.
its a terrible move. frick the fans that support this dumb shite. rather go 8-4 with dabo than do shite like this

I bet this goes over well in the TE room.
This would be good for Green and the other good TEs are underclassmen. We'll be ok.
That said, I don't like that this is possible. They need to make/enforce rules prohibiting it. But if they allow it, then we might as well take advantage. Other teams will too.

How to make your locker room more toxic than Baylor in the Briles era.

the more crap that happens like this and the Bediako situation the less and less interested I am becoming in college sports.

The sad thing is lsu is letting a fricking piece of shite like lane kiffin drag their name behind every retarded fricking scheme this psychopath comes up with.
He will drag them down to hell with him. And they deserves whatever misery he brings.

1) LOL at this melt
2) If LK were still HC at Ole Miss, you best believe they he would be adding this guy back to his roster and you all would be creaming your pants
3) But what’s going to happen to you all if we actually WIN a lot this year and we are not dragged into “hell” as you and many others have predicted?
4) man, OM fans better hope and pray that Golding brings you all back to the playoffs this year. Seems like a monumental task, losing the entire offensive staff even with your QB and RB back.

LSU fans are in for a rude awakening. Im almost sorry for yall.
How’s that? Explain?
You mean there is a 0% chance that LSU succeeds this year with all of the talent and money spent on the roster?
What’s the winning lotto numbers this week, since you know all?

Love Dae'quon
He'll be a difference maker for the Tigers and I hope he makes a lot of $ this season. Don't want him to put up numbers against my Rebels but the kid is a physical freak with soft hands.

I'm just an outside observer. I don't worry about LSU at all. Feel free to bookmark the post though. It's not like Lane turned down Alabama to go coach LSU. There is nothing to cope with. Kiffin has been in this league for quite some time. Everybody knows who he is. Putting him with the most volatile fanbase in the conference is storing the kerosene next to the camp fire. This story doesn't end in 20 years with Kiffin riding off into the sunset, it will be a nasty ending

It's not patching holes. Its acquiring more depth which you can never have enough of.

I'm sure the blocking TEs are upset.

I'm sure Pete never told Deuce Knight that he'd likely be the starting QB when Chambliss lost his case in order to get him to sign. No way that's possible.

What rules are being broken? I wanna see specific statutes.

Deuce Knight is completely fine learning the system and then starting for three years. He’s been getting tons of reps in practice and showing out against Pete’s elite defense.
Thank you for your concern with our program.
