While LSU fans hate Bama a lot more than we hate them, the Bama/LSU game has been one of the most watched, heated games for the last 15 or so years. It's absolutely a rivalry, even if it's not a traditional rivalry.

outside of the conference schedule, who does Bama play OOC,
Think they get Wisconsin, Mercer, USF, and Western Kentucky

2024 - at Wisconsin, USF
Not sure how they will be in 2024...but USF was 1-11 last season and Wisconsin was 7-6. Bama's other OOC games that year are Western Kentucky and Mercer.
On the surface...that doesn't look like a really tough OOC gauntlet.

LSU easily has a beast of a schedule next year.

USF is a really challenging opponent.
Exactly...last season, they beat Howard by 3 touchdowns. Sure, they lost the rest of their games...but they beat the crap out of Howard at home.

Bama fans finally learn what it’s like to play Auburn’s typical schedule.
Historically we played Bama, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee every single season up through 1991. Then in 1992, we traded LSU for Tennessee.
With 1992 expansion we got Georgia and Florida from the East while Bama got Tennessee and Vandy.
The best thing about this latest round of expansion is the rest of the league finally plays the same hard schedule Auburn has played for our entire history. About damn time.

Just glad Auburn is still on our schedule. It helps ease the sting of losing the Vandy game.

Already conceding a loss to Vandy?

Coincidentally Saban is pretty much the only reason people see Bama/LSU as a rivalry.
Coincidentally, he's the only reason Bama stayed relevant (Post Stallings).
Since 2005, there hasn't been a bigger game in CFB.

it is top heavy, but you also get the 3 bottom dwellers of SC/Mizz/Vandy.
UGA on the other hand somehow doesn't get any of those 3.
You have played them every season since 1992! Schedules are changing, time to get use to a more difficult schedule.

alabama also has Georgia Tech on its upcoming schedule. When that happens, suddenly bama fans will start talking about Georgia Tech like they're a formidable opponent.

Exactly. Nothing against LSU fans at all, but only a few clueless Gumps like myself on this forum could give a rat’s arse about playing them yearly.Normal Alabama fans enjoy the rivalry. Many great games, but Bama has had just as many (if not more) against Georgia throughout the years.

Medium strength schedule. Bama just not used to playing anyone

As a Bama fan this is simply bullshite. In the past it may not have been, but it is now/was a divisional rivalry... Obviously not on the level of the long-standing rivalry of Tennessee & Auburn. And it may eventually die off especially with the elimination of divisions.
But for now it's still a rivalry nonetheless especially with Saban and many of the years it being a heated game and often barn burner
That is some serious horseshite.

It sucks that, even though Georgia scheduled Oklahoma, the SEC canceled that game.
It still doesn't change the fact that Georgia has been scheduling 2 P5 opponents every season for a long time now, yet Alabama has just started doing that.
Are you really trying to argue that "scheduling" Georgia Tech each year is anything special the last 10+ years. They are your main rival and a team that has been on your annual schedule for 75+ years now and they've sucked for the better part of 25+ years now.
Florida and South Carolina "schedule" and extra Power 5 every year too but at least those annual opponents (FSU and Clemson respectively) are good to very good opponents each year.
@ USF (on Alabama's 2024 OOC schedule) is at least as difficult an opponent as Georgia Tech is. A neutral site game against Clemson is a very strong OOC opponent but it isn't as if a road trip to Wisconsin is by any means easy.
