Last i checked the pitcher gave up a game tying single and a two run walk-off bomb. Then zero Hogs showed to play offense tonight.

In Shaddy's defense neither the first baseman or the RF wanted anything to do with catching that ball. It's actually the second basemans ball anyway but Gates was scared out of his mind and actually wouldn't have made the play. Shaddy was the only of the 3 that wasn't afraid to try and make the play, he just didnt.

And walked the leadoff batter to start the trouble.

1B was on it alll day until Shaddy bumped him and cut him out of the play. Say what’s you will but I’m the end Shaddy cost us the natty, good effort but all for nothing if you can’t make the play

Looks like Shaddy disrupted both the first baseman and the right fielder. He is clearly out of control and looks like he was trying to be the hero. shite happens but that’s a tough one for him to forget.

Shaddy cost us this, and he knows it. It's the attitude he brings to the game, it's very out of control and dominating. We have all played with players like this, the other 2 players could have been screaming for it and it wouldn't have mattered.

At the end of the day he flat out choked, you have to read the play and clearly the first baseman had it.. but he was too blind to see it.

I'll also put some blame on van horn too.. after that play he should have walked to the mound and let his team get calmed down a bit. I don't recall him doing anything though.. it was like after that play everybody including the coach gave up... and it steamrolled to game 3. Disgusting.

I agree with what you wrote about Shaddy but I can’t help but feel sorry for him. He wanted to be the GOAT too badly and became the goat. That’s a bitter pill to swallow.

Anybody blaming RF for not calling him off seems to not understand this, nobody was calling this psycho off

You can't help but "feel sorry for someone" who selfishly put himself above the team?

And if you look closely at the gif, it actually looks like he used his right arm to push the 1B aside. And the 1B was clearly lining up to make the play.

Poor kid is going to have to hire Casey Affleck to be his body double anytime he goes back to Fayetteville.

I don’t know I’m still working through my emotions on it. I 100% put blame on him for the ball hitting the ground. I just think it would be hard to go out as a senior with that overshadowing every positive thing you did (which even if I think he’s selfish, he’s been a really good player for us)— given he’s want to be a hog since he was a kid, his dad played for the hogs etc. I dunno, I need sleep

Nah, they are amateurs, it happens. It's the whole teams fault for not finishing the game out.. but it's what amateurs do.

I realized a long time ago that you can never, ever put faith in any player in college to get the job done. Once you come to understand that, you don't get so disappointed when they screw up. And Arkansas is the King of screwing it up.

Pitcher still only needed one more strike after that.

Then he gave up the tying hit.

Then he gave up a two run dinger.

Plus Arkie had the entire bottom of the 9th to or win the game with a runner on.

There were multiple opportunities to win the game after that missed pop-up.

I agree with sympathizing with the kid...especially tonight...but me thinks you will feel differently when this
is posted without mercy around here.
Just better not be from any of your SECW peers who haven't sniffed a cws this decade or two.

You guys had an amazing run, Piggies, and I mean that, sincerely. I hate like Hell it ended like this.
