I just don't get the pick. It's like they out-thought themselves.

Ok, Stafford is 38, so he's pretty damn old. In that respect, it makes sense to get someone.

But I'm not sold on Simpson.... is he really a better longterm prospect than Nussmeier, Sellers, Allar, etc? None of those guys excite me to spend a 1st.

As an outsider, I find it charming the way LSU fans always run with anything involving (even a former player) Alabama.

Construing a statement as disparaging.... portraying someone or something in a negative light must be a real craft among Bayou folk.

You don't know anything about football do you? Bart Starr played on some very bad teams in college and was one of the best QBs ever, QBs come from Morehead St. which would have list by 50 to any good college team.

Doug Williams at Grambling St. would have lost by 50 to any SEC average team. So, your whole thesis is just plain goofy. On top of that, the guy was hurt, he lost 25 pounds, I think he should have been replaced. Anyone watching the guy the first 7-8 games would see he was a very good QB. That QB also played on a team that could not run the ball.

I just think back to all those late season early slides, oftentimes causing his team 5-10 yards. Guy's a huge pussy. Really don't understand his draft stock.

Since you aren’t an owner of a NFL team it doesn’t matter if you understand the pick or not. And McVay isn’t the owner either. If he wants to pick his own team then he should go buy one.

They showed Simpson on tv right before Rams picked him. I told my wife that I didn't know why they were showing him because nobody was going to pick his arse in the first round. Well, the Rams picked him next.

Times are tough when you have to resort to trolling a team because their former QB got drafted with the 13th pick in the draft.

Will Ty beat out Stetson Bennett for the #3 QB slot?

Okay, so I guess NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero is just making shite up:

quote:

Back in December, Ty Simpson is still playing. He has not hired an agent. His dad, the head coach at UT-Martin, was calling people in the NFL and seeking input on whether Simpson should enter the draft or transfer. One of the people who told him that his floor was the first round was Les Snead. Fast forward to the coming weeks, as Alabama is going to the Rose Bowl, and Miami is offering $5 million to come there in 2026. They turn it down and Miami offers $6.5 million.

They’re in L.A. for the Rose Bowl and the Rams have Ty Simpson’s parents come over to the facility and they spend time with them. Mom’s on the fence, dad’s gathering information. When they asked why should Ty enter the draft, the answer, and I’m paraphrasing, from Les was ‘Because I’m going to take him with the number 13 pick.’

Is there anything wrong with how Les Snead 'recruited' Ty Simpson to the Rams?
