Damn I just seen where Gene Stallings just totally knee capped Jimbo.

He said that he has been disappointed in A&M and they must not be paying the coach enough money. Ouch!!!

Well they can pay him more to just not show up, that would help.

Hard Knocks should've filmed in Coward Station this year.
Imagine all the drama.

Stallings is a pretty classy guy. He doesn’t really make comments like this. It’s totally out of his character to take a shot at a coach like this in public. I’m betting Jimbo has rubbed him the wrong way at some point.

Link?
Searched and the only recent news article I found w/ him was about the Rise Center at Alabama.

Yep.
Favorite story of mine about Stallings.
He knee capped lsu in BR with an onside kick and broke herb Tyler’s heart. Also mine.
But we were with a friend named Tommy Ray of Huntsville ( been to 500+ games in a row) and he got RA and John to get Stallings to sign my TS poster. I was young.
He saw Halmans signature in small print and signed his bigger in 1- inch letters.
He said this:
quote:
You know Tiger Stadium is my second home stadium.

Gene is really aging, so it’s not surprising he’s been unable to see through the duplicitous bullshite that’s out there about A&M right now from Bama’s side.
I love the guy, though. My family got to know his family when they were at A&M. Johnny was the most impressive member of that bunch.

I have looked for the video clip myself and can’t find it but I can tell you where I saw it.
On Sunday nights at 1030 on ABC33/40 in Birmingham there is a local sports show on called The Zone. They played that video clip on that show. I looked all over the internet and couldn’t find it myself. If you can find the episode of The Zone from last night though that video clip was played.

I agree with you on Gene Stallings but Bama didn’t factor anywhere in Stallings comments. It was straight up Aggie on Aggie violence. Stallings isn’t impressed with the job Jimbo has done that much was pretty clear.

IF CGS said it it must be so. I’ve never known him to lie.

I have never seen Stallings even come close to making a comment like that before. Coach was always classy when he was in T-Town and he didn’t believe in taking shots at people like that in public. It was kind of shocking to hear it come from Stallings. One thing is for certain I think he feels like Jimbo has pretty much robbed A&M and he doesn’t appreciate it.

This will be Fisher's last season head coaching at this level.
Petrino will be the head coach next season.

That’s not true at all. He took shots all the time at Frab. Hated him. And he took shots at Jimmy Johnson. Hated him, too.

With regard to Jimbo?
Nobody likes or respects Jimbo at this point, has nothing to do with Bama.
When you’re the coach at A&M and Gene Stallings is taking shots you’ve lost the room.

Let me put it this way. I have never heard him take shots at anyone in public like that before. I was trying to remember if anything got said in public when Bill Oliver left Bama for Auburn and to my memory I can’t think of any public feuding between them but that was years ago so I could just not remember it.

You are on to something there sir. Gene loves A&M. He loves Bama too but A&M has a special place in his heart you can tell. Something behind the scenes has had to have went on where Jimbo has stepped on a few of the wrong toes.
