It would just give the one team a forfeit.
Everyone kept pointing to the Sorsby case on this as evidence that the conferences wield ultimate power, but Sorsby folded his tent pretty quickly. That doesn't appear to be the case here.

Hence the absurdity of the SEC rule about these guys which is why Sankey will get laughed off the stand.

That hasn’t been the standard time frame. Chambliss is a more typical example. The time frame extends beyond the season, so both sides just give up the case at that point.

This may be remembered as a key event that sent us down the road of creating a super conference. Whatever happens, there will be a lot of discord between LSU and the conference going forward.

I think this is the final thing that was needed for congress to actually move forward. By doing so, college sports will officially become professional sports and there will be a CBA negotiated.
