I have a feeling this will get drawn out until an SEC member school refuses to play an SEC opponent who fields athletes who previously appeared on a professional roster. That would nip this shite on the bud real quickly.

It would just give the one team a forfeit.

Everyone kept pointing to the Sorsby case on this as evidence that the conferences wield ultimate power, but Sorsby folded his tent pretty quickly. That doesn't appear to be the case here.

Which the inevitable outcome of this is all or none

But why even stop there? Let's ban transfers again while we're at it - since unlimited transfers was a court decision. Make all transfers sit this year.

And anyone making NIL too since that was also a court decision.

Hence the absurdity of the SEC rule about these guys which is why Sankey will get laughed off the stand.

All he has is “it feels different”

That doesn’t stand up in court.

I’m cool with that. Most programs would crumble

Now you're getting it. Ban everything.

4 for 4. You have to be 18-22 years old. You get hurt, your problem.

Go back to this.

Georgia has 8 transfers, all y’all are living and breathing through the dirty portal.

Come up to our standards, where the air is crisp

I don’t know why you think this is relevant.

Because it directly disproves the claim. Not to mention continued talk of conferences "breaking off" from the NCAA.

Yes, but given that athletic calendars run on shorter calendars than court cases, a TRO is effectively a loss.

Bediako played for less than a month, I don't think it's going to provide much of a loss on that timeframe.

That hasn’t been the standard time frame. Chambliss is a more typical example. The time frame extends beyond the season, so both sides just give up the case at that point.
