Conference play starts Friday.

#19 Tennessee at #6 Georgia
Alabama at #21 Kentucky
South Carolina at #16 Florida
#2 Mississippi State at #5 Arkansas
#5 Auburn at Missouri
#9 LSU at Vanderbilt
#16 Ole Miss at #2 Texas
#17 Texas A&M at #7 Oklahoma

Auburn and LSU got lucky. LSU, as bad as they are, will probably start conference play 2-1 or 3-0.

We should not be #2.

I’d argue we shouldn’t be top 10. We are good, but not great imo

At least you let us all know that you don't know much about baseball.

Dunno LSU has been pretty crappy against teams with RPI over 130 and Creighton is 129 and Vanderbilt is 255. Can almost say they will have some nail biters ahead.

The Mustard Buzzards will never get over the Rebs going down to their Super Regional in 2022 and outscoring them 15-0 over the course of a 2 game sweep. Finding a way to win tonight would be a hell of a resume builder.

If you can find 10 teams who have impressed more than State so far I’d love to know who they are.

Not saying this team is without flaws but in a first four weeks where SEC teams are losing to random teams left and right, State has casually crushed all the ones they’ve played leading into tonight. And the two losses were to Top 10 teams, both away from home, both by one run, both in games State led in the 7th or after.

South MS is apparently the place to be tonight if you like baseball. State vs Tulane supposedly a sellout in Biloxi, and I’m sure there will be a big crowd in Hattiesburg for OM vs USM.

Charlie Foster starting for State, feel like him getting it going is going to play a key role in State’s ceiling as the season goes on. I like the weekend rotation at the moment, but have some bullpen concerns.

Pimphand,
.... I’ll bet you’re the kind of guy that would f** a person in the arse and not even have the goddamn common courtesy to give him a reach-around. I’ll be watching you.

Southern Miss Ole Miss on ESPN+ with first pitch @ 6p.

I saw a stat that said this weekend will be Ole Miss' first time to play @ Texas in baseball since 1912. We've played the Longhorns in Houston at the Shriners Classic and they've come to Oxford for postseason baseball but haven't played at their house in 114 years.
