I think he’d be a terrible hire. Let’s make it happen.

4?million. That said I’m not wanting to bet anything on coaches who had great years because they had a team full of super seniors that’s 25 yrs old playing against 18-21 yr olds. Not saying Norvell isn’t or will not be a great coach but FSU took advantage of a piss poor conference with a team full of grown men

Kiffin should be top target. If they don’t get him and he makes cfp next year Gumps will go crazy.

We paid 21 million for Gus to not coach (plus more money for Harsin) Bama will pay the $20 million.

Clemson should have to pay a school to take him.

Dabo would be a bad hire (so other SEC fans should be all for it). They should throw the bank at Smart or Norvell

Smart ain’t leaving UGA unless it’s for retirement, an NFL gig, or in a coffin.

He’s entrenched there, they will match whatever Bama offers, it’s his alma mater, GA talent is better than Alabama talent and UGA is the only major program in Ga.

There is nothing they can offer him UGA doesn’t already. All Bama could do is make UGA pay him more before being told no thanks.

I love this BS that Smart would even think about leaving his alma mater. He played at UGA and has won two more National Championships than BAMA has in the past 3 years. Recency bias has UGA ahead of BAMA as a program and institution. There is also the 90+ million dollar buy out. Stupid is Stupid.

If they hire Dabo they’ll be in the gutter for years.

I think you're right. He's the most available. He's an alum and he's a mostly proven commodity. If you're a serious cfb coach, you do not want to coach in the ACC.

I hope you're wrong. I'm not a fan of Amway salesman Dabo.

I couldn’t hire Dabo in this situation even though he’s a great coach. It would be him running from a deteriorating situation in Clemson. If that program is still in its 2019 state there’s no chance he leaves for Alabama. He needs to figure out his shite with the transfer portal and just 2024 roster construction in general. Bama doesn’t need someone struggling through a mid-career crisis.

You don’t win two titles and then leave for another job unless something is wrong. That goes for Kirby and Dabo.
