Composite (New recruits + portal transfers) recruiting class rankings

Clemson has ZERO incoming portal transfers.

Their run is over. At this point he just better hope they don't suck enough going forward that it costs him his shot at the Bama job in the not too distant future.

Dabo will not be hired as the successor to Nick Saban. You can bookmark this post.

That ship sailed the moment he publicly said that he refused to play the NIL game.

They play NIL just fine. Dabo doesn't play the PORTAL game.

But then there's this (which I'll chalk up to sour grapes but anyway...

Terry Kinard is a former Clemson player. Sounds like the kid wanted to take a bowl trip and but was probably knocking around in practice.

Clemson is in process of imploding:
-QB play has fallen apart
-Offensive skill players have declined
-Coordinators have left
-NIL/transfer portal draining depth

NFL draft tells the story, they are a pale shadow of their peak and no longer elite.

Put it this way: Who from 2023 Clemson would start for Bama or UGA?

maybe, but Dabo is not the person the media portrays. He isnt isnt just some dumb hick.

Dude is an a-hole, he wins but he is an arse.

I keep hoping its the end of Clemson as a great program, but I am never that lucky. Plus Dabo keeps a horseshoe up his butt and knows how to motivate (fake calls and made up rants)

His past success is 100% based on playing in a shite conference, great recruiting of 2 generational QBks in a row, cheerleading, and having excellent assistant coaches, he is not a Saban or Kirby Smart level guy who can actually X and O his way to a win. His motivational tactics will only work for so long. I pray for his failure, i really hate the fricker

No doubt.

Texas just picked up the #1 safety in the portal from Clemson.

Many rosters will be half portal players really soon.

their "run" was simply having deshaun watson adn trevor lawrence. Without those QBs at the helm dabo was a lesser mark richt

there is a less than zero percent chance dabo will take over after saban, and that was the case before the last couple years.

Meh. They had a pretty stout defense in those years too.

I object.

Exhibit A: The illegal pick play he drew up to beat Bama in the NC game.

I mean, not too shabby for a WR coach who took over as an interim coach and won 6-7 games his first couple of years. His teams that played in a crappy conference played pretty well in the playoffs. Blew out a few teams.

“While everyone remembers Renfrow's touchdown, they've likely forgotten the previous play. It was also first-and-goal but this time from the 9-yard line, with Watson taking the snap back at the 15. A DPI call against Alabama -- and there was nothing subtle about it -- placed the ball at the 2 for the final play. When Clemson huddled to discuss what that play would be, Watson and Swinney were ready to run the ball. Co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott disagreed. He was screaming Orange Crush. "Coach Scott ran in there and was really, really passionate about throwing the ball and running the play we ran," Watson recalls now. "We knew it was a low-risk pass because of the route. We knew even if we didn't complete it, we'd have time for the field goal. And Coach knew they wouldn't be as aggressive on defense because of what had just happened. That DPI was going to be in their heads."

Absolutely I have to give him his due, he hired great assistants and let them handle it, and he recruited two amazing QB’s out of GA and has won a ton of games

They're lucky to be in the ACC where they can still out talent almost everyone.

Dabo's ego will not allow him to use the portal. He already has a speech written and been practicing in the bathroom mirror in hopes he can say everyone was wrong and he was right. A speech we will never hear.
