You absolutely need to get a steak at Drover (72nd & Mercy) that is the one non negotiable. The CWS used to be the most low key fun you could have in the summer back in the day but these days it's spiraled out of control. You will still have a blast just it's going to cost a lot more and be a lot less fun than hanging out at Starsky's was or when Junior's was THE place to be in the early part of the CWS where all the fans clashed.
As far as around the stadium the rooftop deck at Blatt Beer & Table is pretty damn sweet if you can get there early and get a spot to sit. The Old Mattress has DJs going if that's your scene. If you want to see the Rocco's stupidity but not subject yourself to the annoyance Lefty's is where I spend a decent amount of time pregame.
If you are looking for things to do away from Schwab one of my favorite places is The Homy Inn still the only place I've seen champagne and sangria on tap. If this is your first trip to Nebraska you really should stop and get a Runza as it is their unique fast food they serve it at all the Cornhusker games. If you have an evening game and want to get brunch you can't beat Ooh De Lally. If you are willing to drop some coin up in the Benson neighborhood you have Au Courant and Yoshimoto both are favorites.
Omaha is overall a vastly underrated town. If you have rented a car and want to take a road trip Lincoln is 60 miles down I80. Sadly Sidetrack Tavern & The Watering Hole are closed. Barry's is *the* bar for pregame for Nebraska games. Lazlo's in Haymarket is great and my favorite prime rib in Nebraska is at Misty's.

First and foremost, if you run into any Nebraska fans in a bar, just say "frick Texas". You won't buy any drinks the rest of the night. Just trust me on that one.
1. Get to the game early and tailgate. That's one of the best parts of the CWS. I took in a lot of games, not just ours. College baseball fans are a lot of fun and most are very friendly. Yes, even the LSU fans
2. continuing #1, go to fan fest. I can't remember which lot it's in off the top of my head, but it's a lot of fun.
3. Old market for dinner/drinks is fun.
4. I don't know if this is still the case, but open containers downtown were against the law last time I went. Don't ask me how I know this.

They love us in Omaha, even when LSU isn't in it.

The Zoo is worth checking out if you have down time. They have parts of Rosenblatt there with home plate and some seats and foul poles in parking lot. The old part of downtown Omaha is very nice with lot of shopping and restaurants.

Hotel reservations are the toughest thing. But otherwise it’s pretty straightforward…
All seating sections have good views.
Many neutral fans at every game, so I would try check out as many games as you can, even those that Bama isn't playing in.

The Zoo & the casino are really the only 2 true things to do. However, the tailgating, by all teams' fans, is off the rails great. Bring your own booze as some local prices are a bit higher, & for a 2 weeks stay, it can add up. But tailgating makes the trip next to only the games themselves.

It's been since 2013 so my information is old but get to The Blatt early. Something called the Old Mattress Factory for at least one meal. Do whatever you have to do to get reserved seat. Don't get in the outfield GA ticket line.Tickets are probably easier for the first few games. I was there for the championship and they were essentially sold out. We did a lottery thing in the mornings to get tickets but I've heard they don't do that.

I wasn't there last year but in 2024 championship people started lining up Friday night and they eventually ran around and handed out numbered tickets to everyone then drew a random number from the pool and that was where the line started. I got in line about 9am and wound up getting tickets but it was super annoying. There will be scalpers galore running around but typical warnings they will gladly lie to you and overcharge so it is better to wait them out if you do go that route.

We know Alabama fans know nothing about Omaha.

The locals pull for LSU just as much as their home state. Bandwagon college baseball fans don’t understand how passionate the locals are to LSU baseball and our fans. It’s truly an amazing place if you love college baseball

Wait until just before game time to buy tickets on the secondary market. If you are playing day games, and it's a typical Nebraska summer day, shade is valuable, so you will want to be aware of that (first base line is the west side).
If you are doing downtown hotels, those are expensive, and you might have to move throughout your stay. There are youth baseball tournaments being held at the same time, and those folks will already have booked up a bunch of the hotels for this weekend.
If you don't stay downtown, don't worry, as there are lots of reasonable parking options.

Get ready to walk everywhere. I only say this so you plan accordingly. Do everything around the stadium as much as you can.

Skip the Jell-O shot place
That place is a nightmare
Rally cap local Baton Rouge brewery is open now
Baton Rouge guy is running it

Omaha's Union Station/Durham Museum is an interesting side trip while you're there. It's within walking distance of the ballfield (unless you are a typical, extremely obese and out-of-shape SEC fan)

-The train museum is amazing. They have a lunch counter with probably the best meatball sub I’ve ever had or I was super hungry.
*Im kind of a train nerd so if you are too they have a BigBoy on display at the top of a hill in Omaha. Find it. That’s a massive sob.
-The zoo is amazing.
-West Lanes bowling center is a true old school bowling alley run by a super cool old man that will sit there and chop it up with you about rosenblatt and all his experiences with the CWS. We went with my kids and their friends/families and the old guy gave the kids old bowling pins. Stupid, but the kids loved them.
-Scheels because who doesn’t want to ride a Ferris wheel inside a sports store
-Most of all. Go to as many games as possible. Even if your team isn’t playing. You can wait and get tickets on seat geek for a reasonable amount, until the finals. shite gets real expensive then.

LSU coastal tickets last year were pretty reasonable for finals because coastal didn’t bring any fans
If you are on the sec side of bracket pray you play Troy in the final
