re: So the winner of this inevitable OU-Georgia rematch wins the title

Georgia is catching the bus out of Omaha tonight
Omaha's Union Station/Durham Museum is an interesting side trip while you're there. It's within walking distance of the ballfield (unless you are a typical, extremely obese and out-of-shape SEC fan)
Texas is, and will always be, The University of Texas at Omaha
Here are the CWS participants' records against the other CWS participants this year.
Texas 7-2
Bama 6-5
Georgia 3-2
Troy 2-2
Ole Miss 3-6
OU 2-4
UNC/WV 0-0
Texas 7-2
Bama 6-5
Georgia 3-2

Ole Miss 3-6
OU 2-4
UNC/WV 0-0
Roger Clemens and Doug Hodo, Jr both played on the 1983 UT national championship team, and both had sons who played for UT in the CWS. Kody Clemens in the 2018 CWS, and Doug Hodo, III in the 2022 CWS. The fathers were coached by Gus, and the sons by Pierce though
aggy at #5 is pretty funny considering the fact that they are 16-12 in night games at kyle field against P5 teams since joining the SEC
quote:
We call Texas tu, or Texas University because that’s what they were named prior to 1963.
It was their name.
They are the ones that saw the rise of other universities in Texas and changed their name to be “The University of Texas”.
Wrong
In 1881, the Texas Legislature enacted legislation that included the following: "Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas, that there be established in this State, at such locality as may be determined by a vote of the people, an institution of learning, which shall be known as The University of Texas." In 1967, the Texas Legislature enacted legislation that changed the names of the universities in the UT system by giving them uniform designations, and the University of Texas was officially changed to The University of Texas at Austin.
re: Sorry tu. Your bid was rejected but Aggies won in this multi-billion per year contract

You had to go all the way back to 2018 to find any smack? That's pitiful even for aggy.

Aggy will shuffle the deck chairs around on their sinking program, but keep Earley
quote:
The team has mailed it in according to my ag super fan buddy he says Earley knows he's out and so I think everyone just wants the season to end at this point but we shall see.
I can see the team being ready for the season to be over, but I don't think any of their big-money people are prepared to dump Earley and cough up his buyout, or the buyout of his replacement. I'm not sure that they could even get a decent replacement for him this year.

Liberty getting hosed by the umps like aggy always imagines that they do

How about a backfield of Vince Young, Earl Campbell, and Ricky Williams

Texas will be playing in Omaha, from where will you be watching them?
re: Check in if you won a series against the horns this year

Check in if your team has been to the CWS in 9 consecutive decades.
Your ranking of Texas appears to reflect the wishful thinking of the SEC rather than reality
They’ll win at least one against aggy.

And the guys last night didn't look great.
The Horns only pitched players they don't expect to pitch this weekend.
My guess is that Riojas will move from Sunday to pitch the Friday game, that's probably why he was limited to 3 innings against Auburn last Sunday. Harrison will start Saturday like usual. Bing will probably be the starter on Sunday on a short leash. That's why he didn't pitch on Tuesday.

A series we should have won.
LSU fans are getting as pitiful as aggy. You lost the series get over it. At least you won a game, that’s more than most of the rest of this conference can say. What a grind.
Texas counts success at baseball as winning in Omaha. aggy wants to crow about winning a series on the road like they get some kind of a trophy for their Hall ofOmaha nonChampions for it. We play the teams on the schedule and consider it just one step toward the goal. I’m sure aggy will have fun watching the horns in Omaha from their futons

You’ve played road series at Mizzou and Kentucky and still have at Arkansas and at OU. I acknowledge the series wins against LSU and Auburn at home. Stunningly to no one, y’all didn’t actually get an SEC grind schedule.
All other things being equal the Horns will always have an easier schedule than aggy because the SEC forces us to play each other in every sport. I would be more than happy to replace aggy on our schedule with an actual good opponent. Maybe instead of bitching about Texas’’ schedule aggy should try and be better.
