lot of people don’t realize that rulings like this along with NIL are going to destroy college football. The small colleges with little funding will still exist but it’s going to be much more difficult holding onto players. I don’t think many athletes realize that bouncing from team to team may negatively affect their results on the field. I also have my doubts that the NIL gravy train will continue the track it is on.
What’s to stop schools getting together and creating a true Amateur Athletics Conference & preserve CFB?
Not gonna lie, I’d prefer that over the incoming NFL Jr League.

Players should be allowed to transfer anytime they wish. They are not indentured servants. If poor schools cannot keep up then boo hoo.

You always have the worst takes. Transfer rules have nothing to do with a schools finances.

Yep. It's not the portal. It's not NIL. It's NIL WITH the portal.

I hate it, but if coaches can leave whenever they want, players should be as well.
Schools are going to need players start signing contracts, like the pros. Kids will basically owe money back to school if they leave before a given time frame.

such as having to sit out a season?
All the member institutions can agree to this, that is what the NCAA was supposed to enforce. Courts cannot require a school play a player.

[Dellenger] The NCAA says it will not prevent multi-time transferring athletes from playing immediately, per a statement to Yahoo Sports

That is a federal district court. It doesn't even apply nationally, only in that court's district.
It is the first step of a very long legal process.

CFB is basically dead at this point. A complete sham in comparison to legitimate college sports

Can’t wait for halftime transfers.
If the QB is behind at halftime he can go to the other side and be a winner.

Actually they can't - at least when it comes to transfer eligibility.
So that’s what this news is about? Court is ruling that NCAA can’t make them sit a year after transfer #2?

Coach: "QB2, get your helmet".
QB3: "Coach, he transferred 12 minutes ago".
Coach: "shite, QB3, you're now QB2, get your helmet"!

The issue is universities are trying to run a minor league football league and they have no idea what they are doing.
