Irrelevant, and this is going to further destroy college sports. Once you open this can of worms, it will be never ending.

There are like 400 more players in the football transfer portal than there are FBS scholarships available but you think that this is gonna be the point of no return?

I do and you don’t care because you THINK it benefits Alabama but when other basketball schools start doing this in the future you will realize it was a huge mistake

In the vein of fairness maybe each program should pick up the shittiest players from the portal and drop our best players for feelings sake.

And who said you cant prepare for war with cold milk and warm cookies. That was offensive. I have a thyroid problem okay.

Yall love to attack longstanding rules as arbitrary. Just getting you geared up for more opportunities.

This is NUTS, going too far and I would say this no matter what team he's going to.

I don’t care because everything is so incomprehensibly fricked that it needs a complete overhaul regardless of what happens with CB

So? D1 basketball is littered with guys who signed professional contracts and got paid to play basketball professionally. The NCAA says it's cool to do that literally anywhere and maintain eligibility except the NBA, which makes no sense. Either professional athletes forfeit NCAA eligibility or they don't. Pick one.

You’re not seeing the big picture here.

Bediako played two years of college bball. Enters draft and stays- waiving ability return to college bball. Goes undrafted. Plays multiple years of G-League and signs NBA contracts.

Three years later- it’s time to get some NIL and help my college team in the middle of their season because they need an experienced big man. File lawsuit 1 mile from campus and get a bama grad as my judge. Clear to play per judge.

Just digest that for a second. Are we gonna allow NFL practice squad guys to return to college in the middle of a season? Are we gonna allow baseball draft picks to return to college after multiple seasons in the minors?

What happens after letting him play- would Bediako be eligible for the draft for a second time? It’s just insanity.

I just have a problem with the blurbs calling Bediako eligible. By definition he’s not .
They’re just saying eligibility doesn’t matter & there’s nothing y’all can do about it, LOL

G-league player removed from the NCAA for 3 years can return?

All players have 5 years to play 4 years. Bediako played 2 years. This is his 5th year since starting college. He has 1 semester, this semester, remaining in his 5 year window. NCAA opened this can of worms by allowing European pros to play in college here as well as several G League players. No going back now.

Nah Bama can eat the blame. Cant call out illegal action and then do it yourself. You're just as guilty and complicit in tearing up the integrity of the sport.

No shame these days.

Except he signed NBA two way contracts and waived eligibility by staying in the NBA draft after playing college ball for two years.
