AU playing a West schedule and UGA playing a East schedule the last 15 years, who do you think is in better shape come November? Gus is 12-16 the last 4 games of the season (not including 1AA).

Auburn had a bye week and got to play at home last year in the DSOR. They had the every possible advantage.

I think he’s gonna have to get Richt’d and fired after just an average year because he’s never going to coach a truly bad team, just not a great one either.
This.

Unless somehow Chadwick pulls a miracle out of his arse, I’m guessing we end up biting the bullet and paying the $20+ million at the end of the season.

Without significant offensive improvement we lose our usual big 3, and at least 2 of UNC/UK/OM/MSU/TAMU. With the kind of talent we have on board, 5 or more losses regular season is not worth what we’re paying.

Without playing bama before uga, the “tough west” excuse just doesn’t work to explain the uga ownership of auburn .

And yet, as awful as we were offensively in 2015-16, our offense outscored yours 20-19 combined in both games.

You won in ‘15 on a punt return and in ‘16 on a pick six.

Yes, I for one left the stadium after both of those UGA victories feeling crushed that we won by small margins instead of the blowouts we had in 03, 06, 07, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2017, and 2018.

When you play LSU, MSU, A&M, Ole Miss and Ark before UGA it is not just calling it "tough west". Plus AU alway played one of the toughest OOC game in the country. This while UGA was playing Vandy, TN, USC and KY. Over the last 10 years, every team in the West has appeared in the Top 10 at some point. Can you say that about the East ?

I do not think you can find too many people who do not think the West is head and shoulders tougher than the East. A few crazy UGA fans are the only exception.

Thanks for illustrating my point. That’s not a very tough slate.

From 2009 to present day:

Auburn vs. SEC East 12-13
Auburn vs. SEC West 38-27

For all the crying you do about the SEC West being harder it sure seems like you win those games at a way higher rate than vs. the East.

Edit: UGA fans aren't familiar with what's happening in this pic - read his hat.

I am skeptical that you “left the stadium” in 2015 and 2016 feeling “crushed” about games that hadn’t happened yet.

Dawg fans, ladies and gentlemen.

You got me. People can never compare a feeling from one day to a feeling they had in the future.

My 6th birthday party was awesome, but it wasn't nearly as good as my 7th birthday party. See how that works?

More importantly, there's this.

From 2009 to present day:

Auburn vs. SEC East 12-13
Auburn vs. SEC West 38-27

You may now resume your crying over the SEC West somehow making Auburn have a 5 game losing streak against the SEC East

SEC Teams that have been in the CFP Poll top 4:

SECE: UGA
SECW: Bama, LSU, AU, MSU, OLE Miss

Remember this poll doesn't come out until late October.

BCS Top 2

SECE: UT, UF
SECW: Bama, LSU, AU

What point are you proving?

The point is a tough west isn’t a legit excuse for uga owning auburn:

Auburn doesn’t play auburn, and y’all play bama after uga, so they both aren’t relevant to the discussion.

Ole miss and miss st momentarily jumping into the playoff rankings in 2014 has no relevance to how tough they typically are.

AU has played an SECW schedule every year. UGA plays an ACC Schedule every year. By the time November comes around, who has fresher legs and less injuries ? I have said it for years, Clemson gets a bye in the regular season while the SEC (usually a SECW Team) has to go thru the gauntlet. UGA is not much different. That is why is was important for the SEC to move the Auburn game to early October.

Yeah. That GT and Auburn game kind of feels the same way to us. Great point.

I always see Auburn as a mid-tier ACC team

If it had been disappointing, would you have been “crushed” that it wasn’t as good as your 7th? Which you hadn’t had yet?

Think of it like this: I remember how I felt in 2010, when AU won a National Championship. I expect I will feel similarly when we win our next one, but since I don’t know when it will happen, I can’t logically compare the two.

I apologize in advance if you’re too young to have a similar experience in your lifetime.

You would know since the ACC mid-tier team looks a lot like 90% of UGA Schedule. They even tried to convince us that ND could be an elite SECW Team.

No doubt.

GT, Vandy, Tennessee (their worst decade in history), Missouri, Auburn... they all have about the same record against us the past 10 years.

Which team on your list has won a NC in the last two years ?
Which has played in two NC games ? Which has won their division three times in the last 10 years ? Which team has won an SECC in the last 10 years (twice) ? Damn, the East is tougher than I thought ?

In a typical season, before y’all play bama? Yea, it’s about the same.

Using your logic, Texas Aggies having manziel in 2012 and miss st getting way over-ranked in 2014 proves they are always super tough, but that’s not how the world works.
