Lolwut? Fricking gibberish in that post.
Trouble reading? Ok, I'll say it more simply-

you have 5 conferences plus Notre Dame, all trying to get one of 4 playoff spots.

The SEC champ will be competing with the champs from the other conferences for one of those spots.

If LSU loses to a Big 10 team, and/or Alabama loses to a Big 12 team, the SEC takes a hit.

If you are looking at a 1 loss Auburn team vs a 1 loss Michigan St team, it's more important FOR AUBURN that LSU beat Wisconsin, than for A&M to blow out South Carolina. Why? Odds are, there will be blowouts in every conference, but you only get so many head-to-head conference matchups.

Make sense?

I can't wait for Thanksgiving. We'll see what Kenny can do against a real secondary.

Wow. Can't believe no one else gets this...

Do you guys think Mark May would have had a 2nd SEC team on his board had Georgia, Bama and LSU not won.

What a knee-jerk reaction by Mark May...one good game from UGA and A&M and all of the sudden they're the two best teams in the country...smh

I agree completely, plus who knows how good Clemson is, they lost a ton last year. Not a knock on UGA, I think they roll through the east, lets at least play 3 or 4 games to see what they really have.

It really doesn't matter which SEC teams he has. That will be a fliud situation and settled on the field (for the most part). The fact that as a conference we all took care of business in non conference games will allow him to continue to project the 2 best SEC teams in the playoff.

Congrats to LSU for beating a very good Wisconsin team! The Second Half comeback was very impressive.

I think LSU's win the most impressive all weekend. Playing Wisconsin 1st game was a mistake, I thought. I thought Jennings would really struggle against Wisconsin's defense due to inexperience and inexperience at WR. I thought LSU needed a couple of cupcake games to get ready. What Jennings did in the last half of the third quarter and the 4th quarter was really impressive, he really grew up. I thought Wisconsin had the game won at 24-7.

In response to the original post, yes the SEC absolutely needed those 3 big non-conference wins to strengthen our argument for 2 teams in the final four. I think the proof will be there at the end of the season that the SEC is the top conference and more than 1 team deserves a chance at the tournament.

The wins last night, along with AU beating K St. in a few weeks, will help the SEC argument for getting 2 teams in.

Your gimmick air raid offense works against awful to mediocre defenses. Congrats, you'd still lose to Florida and a Chavis defense bud.

Same can be said for the Bayou Bengals. Sometimes good teams win ugly - right?

1-0 is what matters at this point. Our big non-conference game will be on the road, but we have cup cake then open date.

LSU is Sumlin's kryptonite so far. I guess we'll see this year.
