The winning team moves on to face Jack Ryan in an exhibition match!

Can you name the river?
I would only guess the Tennessee river?

I want to say that is the Clinch River. I used to drive across the Clinch at Kingston and think it came from that direction. Beautiful river if they can keep the ash out.

Melton hill lake is where they row and it’s fed from the clinch River

I wonder if this will eventually move to OKC. There is an awesome rowing and kayaking setup in the boathouse district that's hosting the 28 Olympics.

Vols just took it. Texas is a very strong team, but the UT top 8 edged out Texas for the title. These two teams won and placed all 6 races, splitting 3 and 3. Alabama and Oklahoma were third and fourth in all 6.

No idea, brother, but if these kids knew what was in the water in oak ridge they would probably move it to another location

Facility in Sarasota seems to host more of the big college events since its completion. Hosted the NCAA championships in 2021 and 2022, and will again in 2027 and 2028. Hosts the Big 12 championships this year.
Would be nice if UF would add this sport, but not sure that's realistic for the foreseeable future.

UF has had a strong club rowing team since 1984. It would be a pretty easy sport to add.

I do rows at the gym. Is it basically the same thing?

Sort of, it’s different in the water and you
Have to match decadence with your team. But yeah it’s similar in principal

Yep...between Norris Dam and Melton Hill Dam. It's nice, but damn cold.

I rowed in quads and eights. There is a precision that has to be maintained and if not it kills your pace. The entry and exit of the oars, the adjustment of of the oars during your sweep, and the unity of the team in all that motion is really hard to perfect. The collegiate teams that can attract the strongest rowers and coach them into that level are amazing.

Yeah - and a lot of local talent being developed in state now. We'd be really good right away.
