That he also torched UGA's defense as a true freshman is one concept you totally ignore
So did Jermey Johnson

Tua = Yakety Sax Johnson confirmed.

Jeremy Johnson torched UGA's defense as a freshman?
Wow, I don't remember that.
EDIT : Oh I see, he went 1-1 for 14 yards against a 8-5 UGA team.

That defense was probably a bit different than the UGA national championship game defense.

Jeremy Johnson beat UGA in a national title game?
I missed that one.

Given Tua's height and propensity to run around and throw off balance the obvious SEC comparisons are Fran Tarkington and Johnny Foosball.

There's no way he wins as many games as Tebow. Tebow was 35-6 as a starter.
Barker was 35-2-1.

You obviously haven't watched him much.
SOON...

Well, that's not totally true... he faced Georgia's defense in the national championship last year and did pretty darn well with 14/24 for 166 yards and 1 interception and rushed for another 27 yards. With Tua at the helm Bama outscored Georgia 20 - 7 in 3rd and 4th quarters and threw the game winning touchdown in OT.
Now, I'm not going so far to say that he is the greatest QB, but just another note... he hasn't played a complete game in the first 4 games of the season so his stats are amazing for playing partial games.
I don't remember if Tebow played partial games in his first 4 (maybe someone else can answer that).

To make a viable comparison you really need to compare the minutes played vs games played.
Tua for instance only played half the first three games (and that might be generous) and 3/4 of the Texas A&M game.

Tua is no Heath Shuler. That’s all I got to say.

I’m going to go outside the conference. He reminds me of a Steve Young, crafty and athletic lefty

Not even close. After he leaves no one will remember him. All the numbers Bama ha put up under Saban and none will stand out over time.
Wow.

Tua will crush records unless he gets hurt. Dude is 100% fire.

Barker's Natty performance wasn't quite as legendary. 4/13 for 18 yards

That can’t be right. Bama wasn’t worth a damn until they hired Saban.
