Major college football could be 32 teams and almost nobody would notice

LSU higher than TX?

Can't be. TX is a premier National brand while LSU is a section 8 school.

Or so I was told

It must be true with all the sexual assault allegations coming out of the LSU program
Hell they must be recruiting out of a rapist prison

You wanna know what is sad?

if that was taken from just last year only, Colorado would have made the list.

As much as I love to make fun of Aggy, it's not a very good metric. The top teams get the top time slots on the top networks. So of course their viewership crushes everyone else. Wisconsin is the only team on here that hasn't been extremely competitive recently.

This is a good thread.

And as far as I know, you originally brought the discussion about TV ratings to being about drag shows. Seems like you might have a Freudian desire to be "derailed".

I have to admit, based on # of alumni alone, I'm surprised they're not in the top 18.

They miscalculated. A&M thought they would add more students and conquer the world, take in even MORE money, and dominate all us 30-50k schools.

Wrong. They cheapened the school. Diluted the brand. It's no longer a big deal to attend Texas A&M. Everybody and their dog does.

That has chipped away at the Aggie mystique, the whatever thing they had that once reared such loyal and proud graduates.

So A&M might as well just count tuition money and stamp diplomas, because they "squoze" too tight, and busted the golden egg.

Couple this with the fact that A&M never has and never will be a t-shirt fan school. So there goes those potential viewers.

Op you are so full of crap. Aggies perenially lead the SEC in football game attendance.

Attendance is direct money to the school. High TV ratings don't result in one extra cent from the league office.

I don't think you read or process well. Do you catch that word "viewership"?

Texas A&M should be included over some of these schools. Washington is not brand that attracts a large, national audience.
