By your logic Nebraska, Miami, and ND should be ADDED.

Or... Georgia should be taken out. As everyone to whom you're replying has said.

to me this article is shitting on the playoff and the portal.

That's what I meant, just wasn't clear.

They have always recruited well, but now it's easier and more desirable with the portal and the playoffs

The portal is a great point that I didn't touch on.

The pooling of recruits to just a few programs could be disastrous for college football.

This has always been the case for college football.

Never has CFB had a league of equal teams with lots of parity. There has always been a few teams dominating their conference over the course of 5 or so years. Some longer.

It’s been the same teams winning titles since the 60s for the most part.

Most of the CFB season sucks. Mostly blowouts or bad games. Mostly overmatched teams. Just the way it is and it’s why the good games are so damn good.

hasn't it always been this way?

recruits have always gone to great programs forever.

I think it's easier to identify the top players today, so it's easier to sign more of them. If it's not better players, then how else do you explain fewer teams competing for national titles?

Pretty sure Georgia has finished ranked pretty damn high the past few years.

Cool, I mean congrats on Kirby's 3-2 bowl record I guess?

I mean schools like USC, Texas, A&M, Michigan, Penn St, Florida, FSU, Auburn, & Miami have all the resources and ability to get to where the 'Big 6' is. And then obviously Oregon and ND as well as the article states.

That's 17 teams.

Then there are probably 10 or so other teams that could compete for a NC every once in a while.

That's still 25-30 teams that can compete.

It's just not happening right now.

Jimmy Carter made that presidential call to congratulate Vince Dooley. Michael Jordan was 17 years old. The space shuttle still hadn’t made it’s maiden flight.

Not really, just funny seeing UGA get triggered over their 2017 flash in the pan and lack of anything besides that in the last little while.

The big problem to me is that the SEC has twice as many schools that can make playoff runs as opposed to the other conferences. The other conferences need more competition

seems like UGA needs to win a national title at least once since 1980 for somebody to make this kind of claim
