But where is Texas A&M?
They already lost their lands to UCLA.
They'll have to beat someone if they want to gain some land.

So, you could lose to a team...then beat a team that beat them, and get your territory back along with whatever territory both teams had acquired.
yep, and in this game you are never really out even if your team is having a down year, they can still end up with a huge chunk of land in the end

I love this map. Looking forward to watching huge changes week to week.
As far as "territory" goes, I think the metric is fine. Of course schools have wider scopes of influence. You don't see LSU fans complaining about how large Tulane's territory is. Nor Penn State fans complaining about Temple owning Philadelphia (which they lost to ND).
Using an objective way of distributing territoty (distance to school) as opposed to a subjective way (location of fanbase), makes it easier to create, and should have been controversy-free.
We all could agrue that our school has more fans in any given parish/county. But that is not the point of this map.

A slow flip book/fade of each weekly map at the end of the year could be cool to see the fluid changes each week.

Yes.
And I'd spend way too much time on a site that showed forecasts and possible outcomes for upcoming games

Thank you Maroon Nation. I had but one down vote to give but you kept coming back so I was able to keep handing them out

May be the dumbest map ever. Seriously U. of Memphis has no following in N.E. Louisiana, but the map shows Memphis holding sway there.
Totally agree. Everyone knows that north Louisiana is Bama country.

Cool, Bama about to acquire some land in California and Colorado in the next few weeks.

Who gets the land in the event of a team's second loss?
Will LSU still retain BYU's land if BYU loses this weekend?

So now UF has no land for next week, either.

2nd losses don't affect regions already lost...already belongs to team that beat ya.
BYU has no land to give next loss.
Oh wait...you're trolling.

I don't get on Reddit very often. Please update this thread for week 2 when it comes out.
