Isnt the Fiesta Bowl in a stadium with a retractable roof?

For one season, and one game, if thats the biggest issue, I think itll be ok. There are regularly games in the 90s in the south in late August and September.

eta: I would absolutely trade the weather in March and April with August and September. May and August are basically the same, if not May being a little cooler and less humid.

It would take several years for them to get it back on the normal fall schedule. Unless they plan on giving players one month rest and go right back to football in late July, early August.

Also, baseball would probably benefit from all of the people tailgating going to their games. Or the opposite could happen.

This right here. Not to mention Softball and T&F events on campuses too.

I might be totally wrong but I just don’t see the university presidents and conferences agreeing to this.

You can bet players like Justin Fields or Trevor Lawrence wouldn’t be playing.

Football makes more than all of those combined and by a wide margin. I don't think they would have a problem with it

The problem with college football this fall is students on campus. If students aren’t on campus, college fooball ain’t happening

Why not pick a middle ground? Have a modified season (conference schedule only—so 8 games plus the SECCG) starting in November and ending in December. You can have the playoff games in early January, boom season over. That gives us two extra months to get this thing under control and we still end the season on time.

That's really what this boils down to. Reality is, several schools are preparing to move to an online only model for the Fall semester in anticipation of a second wave.

I thought that it was crazy saying football wouldn't happen this fall but I've had a few people I know that are professors at UofL get emails saying to prepare for an online fall.
