That’s sad. I always enjoyed that highlight program with him and Mark May .

Time for Arkansas to recognize the 77 team as the national champs

Give coach Holtz his second ring.

Have his autograph and he said “maybe you can play for me someday”. That was 50 or so years ago and I wasn’t even 125 lbs soaking wet. Made my year ……. thanks Coach

ESPN needs more Lou Holtz and less Stephen A Smith.

Godspeed, Coach.

Notre Dame did him dirty. Made him retire before winning more games than Knute Rockne (1918–1930): 105–12–5 who held the record for wins at that time.

Now the Notre Dame coach that won the most games is Bryan Kelly.

If Notre Dame had the Balls and money they'd made him quit too.

Lou Holtz (1986–1996): 100–30–2
Knute Rockne (1918–1930): 105–12–5

---and ----Brian Kelly (2010–2021): 113–40, so I guess BK was the greatest of them all?

Have heard nothing but good things about him and he’s a man of great faith. May he hear the word, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Prayers for family, friends, and fanbases he leaves behind.
