I'm going with Georgia. Clemson will lose a lot this year.

Georgia will have the better defense and Daniels makes the Georgia offense really good.

I like Georgia in a 31-24 type game.

Damn near impossible to know who returns at this point, given the Covid year of extra eligibility.

Georgia is losing Monty Rice, Richard LeCounte, Julian Rochester, Tyson Campbell, Eric Stokes, Jordan Davis, and possibly Stevenson at DB.

Georgia is gonna have to have a TON of young guys step in right away on defense and play at a high level.

Could see Rice/Rochester/Davis/Stevenson returning.

So you’re assuming seniors on that roster with the COVID year are gonna take that?

Depends on if the SEC allows their programs to put their toes in a non-conference pond next year.

Wow I could’ve sworn Davis was a SR. Didn’t realize that Stevenson was a Sophomore either.

they’re both gonna have to step up big time for you guys next year.

LeCounte, Stokes, and Davis are the only locks to leave. Tyrique Stevenson is a true Sophomore so he can’t leave.

Rice is gone pecan. He is not going to come back after getting his degree and playing out his 4 years.

I'm pulling for which ever Meteorite, Earthquake, Hurricane or Tornado takes both of them out at the same time...

I think it will depend on his draft grade. He absolutely can raise his draft stock next season if everyone around him is healthy. He’s had to play hurt all season because of other injuries around him. I’ve seen sim projected everywhere from 2nd rd to 5th rd. We will see.

Monty Rice

Yep

Richard LeCounte

Will miss him but his replacement Chris Smith is the highest graded safety in the SEC this year

quote:

Julian Rochester

Has never been great. Travon Walker season.

quote:

Jordan Davis

Great player but Jalen Carter has done great as a 5* freshman filling in for him.

quote:

Eric Stokes

Will definitely miss him

quote:

Stevenson

He’s a sophomore. Is he gonna transfer or something?

4 out of the 7 guys you just listed have missed multiple games this year. We are already playing the young guys.

The only concern I have about next years Defense is the CBs, which is admittedly a big concern.

NT: Jalen Carter
DT: Zion Logue
DE: Travon Walker
OLB: Nolan Smith
OLB: Adam Anderson
MLB: Nakobe Dean
MLB: Channing Tindall/Quay Walker
LCB: Kelee Ringo
RCB: Tyson Campbell/De’Jahn Warren
Star: Tyrique Stevenson
FS: Lewis Cine
SS: Chris Smith

I could've sworn UGA fans harping on Davis' loss against Florida, but it sounds like Carter is better.

Good to know.

Whoever is calling that game has likely already started practicing pronouncing DJ's last name

Davis is much better than Carter. Most UGA fans have him as our best defensive player, right there with Lecounte and Ojulari.

Davis is an elite nose tackle. Carter is a good nose tackle. As a freshman that’s exciting. I never said it wouldn’t be a loss, just that it won’t be a weakness next year. Nice try at putting words in my mouth though
