Drink is safe barring a meltdown (4 or fewer competitive games)

State might be one to watch.

Sark might not be in Texas next year.

If TAMU can’t show improvement then they might find the coins to cut Jimbo.

Dumbo is done unless he wins the SECCG.

Not really. First, his buyout is still too high. Second, the way the recruiting classes are stacked, most Ags think that 2024 is our best shot at the CFP. If Jimbo were to win 9 regular season games plus a decent bowl win, he'd be safe for another year.

If Jimbo doesn't produce a major shift this year he is gone. Problem is going to be who does aggy get to follow up that act. If they tank, they are in for another decade of more shitty seasons.

Pittman isn’t going anywhere but I could see aTm canning Jimbo and promoting Petrino.

If Jimbo has another bad losing season ... he's gone.

He may be disappeared for that matter.

That or either they'll inject him with AIDS and he'll bail over a "health" issue.

Either way, if he has another losing season, he's gone.

Sunbelt Billy. Florida won’t accept a 4-8 season which is what they’re gonna get.

As much as I would love to see Fisher canned if he fails once again, he's probably safe because the money doesn't like to admit they made a mistake.

So not only is your HC stubborn but your money men that backed him? Too bad for Aggies.

Sam could go 5-7 and he wouldn't be fired.

But his seat would be a little warm beginning the next year.

5 SEC wins would have his seat cool as a cucumber. Especially if he closes the deal on Nwaneri and Wingo.

Yup. and 4 SEC wins would be no improvement under Drink after 4 years and he'd be out the door just like Odom.

The difference is 4 SEC games win plus 3 or 4 non-SEC wins isn't going to get Drinkwitz fired. This will be an improvement and with those two 5* players why fired him? I guess you aren't a true Mizzou fan.

No kidding, 6-7 and 3-5 in the SEC, the dude gets an extension. Gary Pinkel has to be laughing his butt off.

The way I see it Drinkwitz is likely to get 2 5* recruits for 2024 recruiting class. I have said recruiting classes have to improve and get better players to be able to compete on the field. Can't do that without getting some real good players every year. This year I am betting on this 2024 recruiting class will be one of the best recruiting classes for Drinkwitz and Mizzou.

Isn’t the interest from the 5 stars more because of the state law than who the coach is?

Pittman and Arkansas implode.
Either Hugh or Lane do something so stupid they must fire em.

“Arnett will be on the seat after this year, loses 17 starters next year and won’t win more than 3-4 games in 24. New coach in 25

State fans have a brain unlike some posters on this board. We understand that we will take a step back after this year. But our recruiting has been good and he has a good class on the horizon. So we will be okay in 2024 and beyond.

Is there a risk with Arnett being a rookie head coach? Absolutely. But the University absolutely did the right thing with this hire. He was able to sign all but one of our commitments and we won the bowl game.

How this year goes is a question mark that will be answered soon. We are used to getting no respect so getting picked low is no big deal. It will be settled on the gridiron.

Florida's schedule is tough...Utah, Georgia, Tenny, LSU and FSU are all teams that are eyeing a conference (or at least a divisional) championship. And uh, last season, the Geikos lost to Vander-freakun-bilt. Mertz doesn't exactly inspire awe and gasps. I sure wouldn't be optimistic about the future. I think ol Billy is in for a looooong season.
