Every time I played that as a team other than Alabama, Alabama would constantly land top recruiting classes and follow them up with weird losses and end up outside the top 10.
It was pretty common to see them beat LSU by 30 and then lose to Southern Miss the next week. I'd just shrug and see if I could turn Vandy into a national power by season 3.

They're usually top 5 in my dynasties but have been like 8-4 every year in the current one.
They beat us my first season, I think that was our only loss and we won the Sugar Bowl. Second year, we won the title and won a close game over them.

Which is realistic. Bama thinks they are getting Josh McDaniels or Kyle Shanahan, hence it’s funny. It’s always fun to compare the wish list communicated by the media to the reality of every coach Saban told “no thanks”.

Baw, that was 2016.
I spent 3 years at Troy, then a year at West Virginia before being hired by LSU.
Actually matching up with Bama this week, LSU is ranked #5 and is 7-1 (lost to Auburn, I have a sophomore quarterback so kind of struggling).
