I mean we only had 3 coaches from 1970-2012.

He's a top name I'll admit that. I just think there's a better option... this league has such a wealth of guys that are ready and USC has such a proud tradition that I want you guys to get what you deserve... im not sold that he's got the long term in him to be successful. We put so much weight on one run I would prefer you guys being in contention every year vs a one great year buys eight so so

Chas said multiple times he would do whatever Ray Tanner asked of him. Great guy, instrumental in our back to back titles but just couldn't win enough as the head coach
