Due to the head-to-head win, Texas has to stay ahead of Alabama so long as they have the same record. It doesn't matter than Texas has looked fairly bad the past few weeks.

But it should. They should be ranking the teams based on what they are fielding today. Not doing that is how you end up putting a team in a playoff that loses by 8+ TDs

Texas can’t even guarantee the QB that beat Bama can take the field right now. They’re coming off back to back 3pt wins against 1 team outside the top 20 in every major poll, and a 6 loss TCU team

I would rather watch paint dry than an Iowa football team.

Iowa has no business in the top 20.

I'm not sure they're better than Auburn or Florida. You can't tell me they'd outscore Tennessee.

They used Missouri to elevate Georgia to #1.

And I'm good with it.

Gawddammit, if the B1G hadn't been the sore arse backstabbing crybaby's they are, we could have had the 12 team this year!

SEC gets the shaft because we play all the top teams in the nation.

Oh yea the SEC sure gets the shaft.

Who has Missouri beaten? Tenn. is their best win?

Ole Miss has a home win over LSU where no one could stop a cold. Outside of that? Nothing

Why is Tennessee even ranked? They lost to UF by 2 TDs.

So yea, the SEC sure takes it on the chin.

Nobody in here would take Penn St over Missouri or Ole Miss right now, and that’s really the only thing propping up both OSU and Mich

Ole Piss fan unhappy, Louisville fan unhappy. Times are getting weird, people actually arguing whether Mizzou is the 9th or 10th best team in the country. Pre-season we weren't picked to be 9th best in the SEC.

Oregon two spots above bama and they still have 11 and 4 (mich or OSU will lose) left

Bama kinda fricked there.

You're kidding right? The Big 10 is Horrible! It's Ohio State and that's it. They try to prop up Michigan and that fails (ask TCU) and the other teams are garbage.

I will give you props, OSU is a great program, but your conference is hot garbage. And adding USC and UCLA just adds to the stench.

I think a 5 touchdown blowout of the #9 team had more to do with it, otherwise it would’ve happened after the Missouri game 2 weeks ago.

Penn State is the most overrated, boring, and forgettable team every year. They make no noise, ever, yet they quietly stick around in the polls. Why?

So now the working theory is the 2 time defending national Champs need Mizzou to prop them up?

I didn't know Mizzou was so important to the college football landscape.

Once recency bias wears off, I suspect Ole Miss will finish around 11/10 and get a NY6 bowl.
