Kiffin can't win a national title at LSU? For crying out loud, Les Miles and Ed Orgeron did it.

Those two did it in a completely different era.

Kiffin sure did make some enemies coaching out there all those years.

Who cares what those inbreds think? They whined and moaned about Brian Kelly and their guy has a worse record across his first two years despite taking over a much better situation.

I forgot Kelly made the playoffs in his second season at LSU.

We’ll see, Indiana just won a natty no one really knows what’s gonna be what moving forward. I will say for better or worse kiffin has set him self up with lofty expectations. I am interested to see what year 2 looks like.

Year 2?! LSU didn't hired Kiffin to wait until year 2 to get the team ready for a championship run.

Well, LSU fans, for one. 99% of them are just always incredibly concerned about what Alabama fans think about their hires. You know it, everyone knows it. Just an insatiable desire for validation from Alabama fans. Just look at this thread: out of fricking nowhere it immediately turned to LSU fans theorizing about what Alabama fans would think if he fails. Super weird complex.

I hope Lane sees this and shoves it up everyone’s asses. He is not perfect but he is capable.

It's not that Kiffin leaves; it's the way he leaves. He has made enemies at Tennessee, USC, Bama, and Ole Miss. Once is a coincidence, but 4 times is a pattern.

What does this even mean? Did he slam the door on his way out? If you're a good coach then people are naturally going to be upset when you leave for another job.

Sounds like they are trying to speak it into existence. The college football world knows this could put LSU on top for a long time.

He sucks under pressure. Always has. Can he overcome that?

I think it's interesting that people think he's "still a coked-out womanizer" simply because he left for a better job.

It could be the text messages, emails, etc… that have surfaced. It could be the story of him fkd up in a bar bathroom in Oxford early in his tenure that prompted a rehab stint. The rehab story is hearsay but not refuted from what I’ve seen.

If it was always the intent to leave for better job why wasnt he more transparent about it all along?

OM fans pre-Lane leaving:

"lol he's not leaving for your shithole state. He loves it here at the Grove"

OM fans post-Lane leaving:

"hahah he's a womanizing prick! Lane sucks!"

Multiples coaches who spoke with The Athletic were actively rooting against Kiffin, according to Feldman and Morales.

This alone should discredit their thoughts.

He isn't mature and has very few masculine qualities that football players can relate to overall.

I was taking a leak at a bar in Oxford during his first year here, and end walks in Lane to take a piss. I gotta admit, the sound of his piss hitting the urinal sounded rather feminine.

It is about who has the most money now...you have to spend a ton. They spent 21 mill to have that roster. Anyone who thinks money does not buy titles...there is literal proof. One of the worst programs in CFB history spent over 20 mil to buy a title basically...

Kiffin is a mid teens ranked coach taking over at a mid teens ranked football program.

LSU fans believe this is the formula to dominate college football for years to come.

LSU had a seven year run when they were the top program in football, and it was due to Nick Saban. In Nick Saban’s last four seasons and the first three following his departure (before his recruiting classes cycled through) LSU won 2 national championships, 3 SEC championships, and 5 west division crowns.

In the 32 years prior to that and 18 since (50 seasons total), LSU won 1 national championship, 5 SEC championships, and 5 west division crowns.

LSU’s mean is that 50 years - lot of mediocrity until the stars align. LSU fans want to believe LSU is Nick Saban LSU. They aren’t. They want to think Lane Kiffin is the next Nick Saban. He isn’t.
