Fiesta Bowl probably won’t take a 3 loss team.

What 2 losses do you think ND picks up?

Hey, Sharkbear, that’s a nice bowl projection you’ve got there.
Would be a shame if someone were to take it.

We've got a murderer's row coming up consisting of Baylor, Iowa St, Kansas, West Virginia, and Kansas St, but I have confidence in our team. All we gotta do is win out and then lose to OU in the Big 12 championship game and we'll be on our way to whooping on Bama in the Sugar Bowl. I imagine even if we win we'll get an At Large invite anyways.
So that's your Longhorn Lock of the week. Hook em.

Dumb list; did they just forget about the Duke's Mayo Bowl being higher on the pecking order than the Birmingham Bowl? It's literally impossible for the SEC to send a team to Birmingham without sending one to Charlotte.

Happy to play Michigan, not happy to play in the Citrus.
That said this assumes Ole Miss wins out (beating A&M) and Bama wins out (losing to UGA in the SECCG). That's possible I guess but that could go a lot of different ways.
Oh, and Bama vs Oklahoma State? Bama wins that by 50 if they decide to show up.
I also think OU is going to lose at least one game, they have been playing with fire all year against really bad teams. Someone with a pulse is going to execute against them and win.
I could also see the B1G screwing itself by beating each other up over the next few weeks. Ohio State Penn State, Michigan State, and Michigan are all about to start playing each other. It's just a schedule quirk they are all in the same division but none have played each other.
Iowa is going to have trouble overcoming that loss to Purdue even if they end up winning the West (they still have Wisconsin and Minnesota) and winning the Big 1G. I'm not convinced anyone is going to stand out and run the table out of all of them.
In the Pac they only have Oregon that can make it and they could easily lose another game as they haven't played Washington, WSU, or Oregon State which are the other best teams in the North.
The ACC is looking grim with Wake Forest undefeated but I certainly wouldn't put money on them running the table. The other team is Pitt at 6-1 but I don't know how they can wash off a loss to Western Michigan even if they find a way to win out. With Clemson down the ACC looks like a G5 Conference.
Cincy could definitely break through this year, who knows?
Still in the end a lot of folks aren't really looking at what's ahead and the impact of the schedule. SEC teams are going to get at least a 1 Loss curve in the end and a lot of these 0 and 1 loss teams are going to start falling and falling fast in the next few weeks as they play each other or simply teams with a pulse.

I think the biggest missing pieces to how this all falls out is how the SEC West shakes up:
Ole Miss at Auburn
Auburn at Texas A&M
Texas A&M at Ole Miss
I feel like all 3 of these games could go any way.
Auburn is also capable of beating Bama at home.
Mississippi State is capable of beating Ole Miss at home.
Depending on how these games turn out, a team could go from the Sugar Bowl all the way down to the Texas Bowl. It's just far too early to know.
My gut tells me the final SEC West Standings look like this:
6-2 Auburn (losses to UGA & A&M)
6-2 Alabama (losses to A&M and AU)
6-2 Ole Miss (losses to AL, AU)
5-3 Texas A&M (losses to Arky, MSU, OM)
5-3 Arkansas (losses to AU, AL, OM)
3-5 LSU (losses to AU, AL, OM, A&M, Arky)
3-5 MSU (losses to AU, AL, OM, Arky, LSU)
I think Bama is the best team, but if the West is on the line Auburn doesn't lose Iron Bowls at home. I think they lose to A&M in College Station though.

I'm very interested to see the next three weeks in the West. We will have a much clearer picture of where things stand before the last couple of weeks

That's funny. Texas won that game and then finished ahead of Jimbo's aggies. I guess you root for a team that's below mediocre?
