And we are all going to suffer for it. I can't imagine having to watch sec football with the idiots at ESPN calling the game. They have terrible announcers and even worse camera work. Imagine having to watch Bama pummel LSU and Gary Danielson not giving us his professional unbiased insight. Folks you're going to miss it and you know you will. Sad times are coming.

CBS currently spent $300M on 15 SEC games with first pick each week.
SEC added Texas and Oklahoma, obviously adding value to the product available, and understandably went back to CBS for mone $$$ when the broadcast rights deal was up for renewal.
CBS balked, and instead went to the B1G and told them they could do for them what they did to the SEC in exposure for the past 30 years. Problem is, B1G has shared rights with Fox, NBC and Peacock, so CBS would be down on the pecking order of game choice.
That didn't stop CBS from offering $350M for 2nd pick in a vastly inferior league, so they're paying more for less watchable football.
frick 'em.

CBS is worse than terrible in every way especially announcers. Thank God we are OFF that network in 2024. ABC and ESPN has better announcers and better production values.

And they love day games. So much so that OSU vs. Michigan gets played at 11:00 a.m. So much for prime time.

All I will miss is the tingle in my loins I get when I hear that CBS jingle at the start of the broadcast.

The production of CBS games is unparalleled, but lord I'll be glad when having a game of the week at home penalized with a fricking 2:30 kick is over with

I highly doubt ESPN is just going to concede the 11 a.m and 2:30 p.m. time slots. I suspect they'll put some big games at those times to compete with FOX and CBS. I do see more big games in prime time, but I don't think it's a given that they'll do it every week.

It sounds like you're saying the SEC screwed up big-time, not CBS
your reasoning seems to indicate the SEC should have given more money to stay on CBS (which I agree with BTW I love a 2:30 SEC banger)

Yeah CBS really pulled off a coup by spending $50 million more and getting a vastly inferior product for their efforts.
